Torquay v Eastleigh 01/01/2018

Quick weather update from St Marychurch.....Sunny and windy all morning. Wonder how hard TUFC lobbied to have the game kept on? Call me an old cynic but perhaps Mr Owers had a look at his potential line up and thought 'this lot couldn't win a raffle if they had every ticket in the hat.'

Torquay v Gateshead

It's a two bobble hat night. Hoping to see a resounding home win, can't see Gateshead coping with a bitterly cold Devon night. Torquay to win 2-0, both goals from Ruairi Keating scoring both.

Torquay v Aldershot match day thread

The long winning run to carry on. Possibly not a game to match the Monday night epic in 2008. Going for an extra pair of socks and a 2-0 home win. Young and Keating to score.

Torquay United v Leyton Orient thread

Here's hoping for a Saturday win, using any means of luck possible. Forecast a 2-0 win goals from Keating (via a massive deflection) and a Young shot hitting the post and into the net via the back of the goalkeeper's head!

Torquay United v Maidstone United 11/11/17

With our fine home record against teams beginning with 'Maid', I'm hoping to see a convincing home win. How's about 3-1 with goals from Young, McQuoid and Jazzi Barnum Bobb (Crazy name, Crazy guy as they say in Private Eye).

Torquay United v Macclesfield Town, Match Day Thread 23/9/17

Oh dear. Not the Brave New World after all. I have to say I feel sorry for Miles Anderson. It is blindingly obvious the poor lad is being played out of position every week. Why does every Torquay manager insist on him going on to the pitch? He has all the safety awareness of a short sighted, hard of...

4-0 win for the Yellows.....The answer is now in the building, but can we ask the right question?

Highest and lowest TUFC away support.

Southend away in 2004 when Leroy's team clinched promotion must have had a high turnout. Notable for Mrs HockeyGull going on to the pitch at the final whistle to celebrate.

BARROW V TORQUAY Match day thread.16 Sept 2017 ko 3pm

New manager, new signings, new beginnings.....time for a mindlessly optimistic prediction!! Torquay to win 1-0. Boy George Dowling to score the winner.

Torquay v Wrexham Match Day Thread 9/9/17

Rather dull 0-0 draw. Positives to take from game.....better organized at the back with Gowling on the pitch, didn't look like conceding. Dowling adds bite and composure to the midfield and will surely be playing a couple of divisions higher soon. Think it is time to give Robbie Herrera's hat back t...

Torquay v Wrexham Match Day Thread 9/9/17

Will be on the Pop Side supporting the players on the pitch. Hoping Robbie Herrera's hat comes up with a winning XI. How's about a rousing 4-2 win with goals from Keating, Gray, Dowling and Young.

Torquay v Chester. 2/9/17 Match day thread

Much improved performance.....but still a frustrating end. ALL the new players showed up well, as did James Grey given a home start at last. Fantastic goal chalked off due to Chester's McCombe having a hissy fit and the ref not being strong enough to tell the Chester team to stop crying and get on w...

Torquay v Chester. 2/9/17 Match day thread

Always hoping to see a home win, ever the optimist! The glass half full view is we'll sneak a scrappy 1-0 win. The realistic take on the game is an injury hit, already struggling, lacking leadership throughout the club, Torquay will lose 5-0, with the new French goalkeeper being man of the match.

Woking v Torquay match thread Monday 28/8/17 3pm

Match to start late due to traffic hold ups on the A303 and M3. Woking to go 2-0 up with a goal from the halfway line and a thirty yard backpass own goal. Torquay to have at least four players in the pitch playing out of position. Rory Fallon to come on as sub. No change to scoreline, 2-0 to Woking ...
