Johnson out

Few clubs are more difficult to define than Torquay, hence the views of a few disgruntled supporter don't reflect the position of every Torquay fan which is just as well as this managerial barrage after a poor run of results is beginning to resemble a fantasy football game. Torquays problem is that ...

Harrogate v Torquay United 7/12/19

For certain scribes on here who move in rarified circles and suffer from big-club-syndrome i.e Torquay must be entitled to rejoin the Football League immediately, and seem to think the manager is to blame, here is the latest news - ' in the real world it doesn't always work out like that'. Gaining p...

Eastleigh v Torquay United 26/11/19

With so many forgettable seasons cumulating in the disastrous appointment of Gary Owers, a manager tasked with transforming the Torquay mood and became swallowed by the whole of it, I find it difficult to criticise the current team/manager who subsequently win promotion and currently are still withi...

Re: Torquay United v Sutton United 16/11/19

National League player of the Month suggests otherwise. Maybe he wasn’t at his best today, but he was the only central midfielder left after Vincent went off. Was never going to be easy after that. Tad harsh to say he contributes zero. He's risen from the lower ranks and has great work ethic - a pl...

Re: Torquay United v Sutton United 16/11/19

I feel for Johnson and his limited alternatives but he cannot be immune from criticism on this display. What should we criticise GJ on? Being 3 points off the top of the league or today's performance that cumulated with an injury list as long as your arm with two more added following todays match. ...

Torquay United v Sutton United 16/11/19

Reminiscent of a Gary Owers formation and performance today. We are lucky that so many of the other results went our way and we are still well in the mix. However, our injury list is a big concern and even GJ magic wand can't fix everything. Not sure anyone has the answer to this conundrum.

Re: FA Cup - Torquay United v Maidstone United - ALL TICKET

Match viewpoint as there is nothing much to report on the game:

GAME - Depressingly dismal;

PLAYERS; Clueless

SUPPORT: Top Notch

Bit of a shame to go out in such a manner.

Re: Clarke Osborne

if at the right time we got that kind of transfer fee but he's not going to command much more than £50k at best right now. You may well be right. Luton Town whom are supposedly interested in Reid brought in 15 players this season - 5 on free transfer, 7 on loan and two without a club. They did brin...

Re: Clarke Osborne

I expect a lot of clubs will be interested in Jamie Reid and I imagine that a figure we'll in excess of £ 100,000 will be offered for Reid. l. Given that Uncle Clarke's business acumen is to get Torquay back into the league to give him a 'hope in hell's chance' of off-loading the club to recoup his...

Torquay United V Wrexham 29/10/19

May be appropriate to spare a thought for Luke Young, when all his dreams were smashed on Tuesday, When he left for Wrexham he said "“ No disrespect to the Conference South, but I don’t think I want to be playing there ...I think I owe it to myself to take a chance and see if I can maybe get ba...

For me, the “old farmers’ forecast” easily surpasses the stringent BBC/Met Office targets. Not many of the Dartmoor cows are laying down, so heavy rain does not appear imminent.

Goodness knows what on earth they will do about the Yeovil game now (particularly as Yeovil were winning when the opposition walked o There are massive implications with regards to teams walking off the pitch. Agreed, It appears the Haringey Borough's manager took matters into his own hands when th...
