What a difference a week make: now in a relegation battle with the likes of Truro and Taunton.

Crazy score for a crazy week.

Osborne gone!

My mind immediately went there, not sure the NL suspend those decisions until the following season My understanding is that any club entering administration before the fourth Thursday in March would have an immediate points deduction. Administration can be tough to endure and could well see our clu...

Osborne gone!

So the Final Whistle blows: What now? Administration: point deductions, cost-cutting, restructuring debts and selling assets (namely players) to raise funds. We are up a creek without a paddle.

Farnborough v Torquay United Tue 20TH

More likely he's after Clark Osborne's job. Spencer Day is a property developer whose only previous experience of football management was at Chertsey Town, a club he actually owned. At Farnborough he has loaned the club £1 million. Spencer Day was once known as Spencer Trethewy, the 19 year old yup...

Farnborough v Torquay United Tue 20TH

Some quotes from Farnborough manager Spencer Day in post match interview: Torquay: "a fabulous club"; "a very big, big, club"; "big time, pro-time club"; "Torquay have got some fabulous players", "a really good side", "they have got so much qual...

Farnborough v Torquay United Tue 20TH

On a serious note. The commentator on the livestream was in my opinion excellent tonight. Very fair and unbiased. Well done sir !! I thought he was auditioning to host a quiz show. As for the game, we were tight and compact but there was no creativity. Given the team was chosen from the best squad ...

Farnborough v Torquay United Tue 20TH

I think the play-off's is now a lost cause. Nonetheless, surely a full-time outfit must have learnt something from 5 egregious losses in a row in a tin-pot league.

Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024

Full time / Part time? Do you pay players more for their skill or because they can train more often? This could have a thread of its own. There should be massive difference in mentality (although not it appears at Torquay). When you’re a full-time footballer it’s your livelihood, it’s your living, ...

#OneClub #OneProtest

Start with delivering 11 bags of manure to the training ground to let the players know what the fans think of their performance. Should cause a stink!

Bottom of the form table

There is definitely something strange going on, as I’m sure Clarke Osborne wouldn’t tolerate the same level of under performance in his other businesses, 100% correct. So why is Osbourne convinced he's onto a winner. It is evident that football side of the business is not his key financial driver.

Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024

I thought initially what you were getting at was that because Worthing won being a man down, we shouldn’t be too up in arms about losing to Braintree and having a man advantage. Bristol Gull nailed it "Shows the void in quality for supposed promotion contenders". I would add there appears...

As relevant as Ryan Hanson being not good enough to play for us but good enough to play for a club above us in this tin-pot league.
