Re: Aldershot vs Torquay

Very interesting that you seem to have played so awful last night but still got three points. We were the opposite to Saturday too,we were absolutely outstanding last night and should have won by a lot more than the 2-1 scoreline in fact 3-0 at half time would not have flattered us. Craig Stanley wa...

Re: Fact Hunt

They do this because they can't help themselves. It is in their nature, which is why everybody loathes and despises them so much. I read a comment on another forum from a chap who had a go at the gruesome twosome during a game. The fat one then complained to a security bod that this fan had insulte...

Re: Fact Hunt

The Creepies are still at it! Here's a quote from a post on the Football Forum about the Crawley - Southend match: 'Good result for Crawley and anyone will do well to win there. They looked a strong, organised and highly-motivated team with plenty of talent too. Shame that Evans and his assistant ke...

Re: Taiwo Atieno

He indeed can and I like him a lot. He's a smashing guy, but, He can also cut through butter like a supertanker through a council estate. And that's the frustrating problem with him. He was great on Saturday but wll he keep it up. Well, I just have this gut feeling that Stevens, and all the rest of...

Re: Taiwo Atieno

Three senior srikers at first glance appears to be not enough. It certainly isn't enough if both Howe and Atieno are out of the side. If only Howe plays and Kee fails to make the partnership work then 4-5-1 is the formation with Howe leading the line with Mansell, McPhee and O'Kane in centre midfie...

Re: CONGRATULATIONS

There's absolutely nothing wrong with League referees. The accuracy and fairness of their decisions are impeccable. Their judgement and assessment of players' actions are always perfect, as is their eyesight. Their superior fitness and stamina enables them to outrun players from end to end throughou...

Re: Sunday morning!!

What a marvellous day out in Bristol. And the programme is a keepsake featuring, as it does, the face of a t**sser. It was personal, and boy did that make victory all the more sweeter. I thought Rene Howe put in one of the best individual performances that I have seen for a long time. He is built l...

Re: Southampton v Torquay Match Day Thread

That was a world class save by Bialkowski from Danny Stevens' header, comparable to the (1970?) World Cup Gordon Banks save from Pele.

Move Stevens off the wings and play him in the centre, and he'll be another Pele for sure....

Re: Southampton v Torquay Match Day Thread

Literally every pub in Bristol serves Blackthorn on tap, You will be hard pressed to find one that doesn't, so you wont find that a problem :) I despair whenever I go south of Somerset, or north of Bristol as Blacthorn is very hard to come by in the boozers and it seems nobody else in the country d...

Re: Southampton v Torquay Match Day Thread

It has been confirmed that Blackthorn has a Bristol Rovers connection for over a decade :~D Our main home end is named after the Torn and it has been one of our shirt sponsors for about 8 years. Oh dear looks like you have been dancing with the devil  Blackthorn is immense. The good folk of ...
