Mr Owers steps down

Which manager has a proven track record in the NLS? I am struggling to think of one! Gavin Rose, Dulwich Hamlets is the only one that springs to mind. Well Jay Saunders for a start seeing as he got Maidstone promoted out of it. Isn't this the first season Gavin Rose has managed at this level?

Mr Owers steps down

Has there been any response from players? e.g. surprised, shocked, disappointed, etc No but apparently Jay Saunders has "liked" a couple of tweets linking him to the job. A poster on BTPIR has stated that the club "have started by looking at people with a proven track record in NLS&q...

Mr Owers steps down

So the question is who decides next manager. I'm assuming osborne has final say .... George Edwards appears to be Osborne's man on the ground at the moment so I guess it will be him. Says on BTPIR that he was previously on the board at Chorley so I guess he has a little more football experience tha...

Go G.O!!

However a major stumbling block as with our last recruitment search is 'proven managers' want full control of all football matters which leaves Harrop in limbo. Maybe this time round Harrop will find himself surplus to requirements. Harrop isn't in charge of football matters anymore though is he? H...

Really? Didn't hear anything like that from the middle of the Pop.

FA Cup

hector wrote: 12 Sep 2018, 07:01 Are you sure we played Bashley? If we did I’ve forgotten that completely, so apologies if I’m wrong. I know we played Fareham from that area around 88/89.
We played Bashley at home in the Trophy during our first non-league stint but I don't think we have ever played at their place.

FA Cup

Be suprised if it is at Lydney should they win. I’m sure there’s got to be a requirement for Turnstiles at this stage of the cup? Also, outside toilets??? Not saying we’d take loads, but Lydney are used to about 30/40 people turning up if they’re lucky. Surely any ground requirements would have to ...

FA Cup

If it is Lydney, it will have to be played at Plainmoor or switched elsewhere in Glos. Why? Don't pay any attention to the capacity of 90 on Wikipedia, with fans just standing around the edge of a football field one deep I reckon you could get 1000 or more into a ground. Lets's not pretend we will ...

Go G.O!!

You are always going to get stick as a football manager, ah unless you manage TUFC of course. GO is the worst manager we have ever had, that's a fact. Unless you have been on the moon, we are at the lowest tier of football this club has been AND we cannot still score. GO was part of the relegation ...

Having beer thrown in your face would be unpleasant and out of order but it was in fact a cup of hot coffee. So not just unpleasant but also pretty dangerous. Can you imagine having a scalding liquid thrown in your face just because you may not be very good at your job? Given the recent spate of aci...
