Torquay vs Wrexham 05/02/22

Great result. It is a team game and we had a team that was really playing with guts and determination. They had 11 individuals not playing as a team. Thought the tactics and team selection was interesting and indeed were spot on for that game with no recognised centre forward and Asa Hall playing as...

Altrincham v Torquay United Sat.22nd Jan 3pm

brucie wrote: 22 Jan 2022, 17:43 No they wouldn't be available for Tuesday

I suppose it depends on when their isolation started. Also is it 5 days or 7 days of isolation required?

Altrincham v Torquay United Sat.22nd Jan 3pm

A great 3 points that might just start our push for the playoffs. Was concerned when the team sheet was announced that we had hardly any defenders with the 2 most consistent performers this season missing. I understand it was due to COVID isolation. My concern now is will they be available for Tuesd...

Ex Torquay players

Adam Randell starts for Argyle in their 3rd round cup tie at Birmingham. Great for him who, I think, is a top class player

Torquay United v Dagenham & Redbridge Sat 8 Jan KO3pm

A good point in the end. We started well mastering the conditions. Dagenham look a good resilient side and deserved the point. They could have won it for about 15 mins or so after they equalized but we could have snatched it in the last 5 mins or so when we had 3 forwards on the pitch. Rumour was th...

Hello Stephen !!

Just listened to his interview above and sounds to me like he is full of cold and can hardly breath so I hope he is ‘fit and well and raring to go’ as GJ says!!

Yeovil Town v Torquay United Sunday 2 January 2022 KO 3pm

Devon live reported that he had been recalled, so must be true!!!! Although I was also told by a city supporter that he had. He isn’t in today’s Exeter squad at Sutton so who knows!!!
I hope he hasn’t as he is just starting to show his worth

Torquay United v Yeovil Town - Boxing Day

If you kick someone there is only one outcome. Yes it was soft but its rank stupidity. Lets face it he deserved to get sent off anyway because he's got such a ridiculous name. :~D :~D I agree and now I begin to wonder if that is how Yeovil have been winning their games recently by resorting to ‘bul...

The festive period!!!

Just looked at the league table (we are now 12th). IF we could win the next 2 away games that would put us right in the mix to chase a playoff space. Not sure whether it is best to have a decent ‘rest’ between games which both Eastleigh ( no game on Boxing Day) and Yeovil will have when we play them...

Torquay United v Yeovil Town - Boxing Day

That was a really ‘gutsy’ and well deserved win against ,it has to be said, a side that didn’t ‘like it up them’ Didn’t see the incident where Tom Lapslie was fouled leading to the red card but you could see a number of Yeovil players having a word or two with Lapslie and fair play to Tom he carried...

Tonbridge Angels v Torquay Utd - FA Trophy 3rd - 18th December

Didn’t go to the game or hear the commentry but if, as seems the case, our keeper had a bit of a nightmare surely we should have had players on the pitch to have won the game 3-2, 4-3 or whatever? Yes it is a cup game that maybe most of us don’t particularly want to progress in but I’m sure Gary Joh...
