Pearce, Downes or MacDonald
I voted 'other' only because it is too early to say. For me it will depend on the Alfreton game.

Who plays up front v Alfreton.
Not sure Briscoe is quick enough for the wing but his close control is so good and his centre of gravity so low he is very difficult to knock off the ball whilst playing up front. He has a wicked shot too, unlike O'Achie. As long as we tried to play to feet or at least chest, he would be the ideal p...

Best goals seen at PLAINMOOR
I reckon Eunan's goal was better. He got the ball about 40 yds out, looked up and spotted Larrieu off his line and unleashed a shot that looped up over the keeper and in to the top left hand corner. I was directly behind the goal and saw the intention as well as the final execution. Perfection ........

Torquay United v Wrexham - Saturday 4th October 2014 - 3pm
Great second half performance led by Captain Fantastic. That goal was the best for several seasons - still think Eunan O'Kane's against Argyle was the best I have ever seen at Plainmoor. But the MOTM was undoubtedly Louis Briscoe - he might have sneaked too many pies but his skill in controlling the...

Downes - commanding in defence
Cameron - our chief threat throughout
Young - kept trying things
Richards - kept the midfield secure (just about)
Briscoe - made a real difference when he came on. Perhaps he would be best to play with Bowman when he returns.

Highlights v Southport
When we were in the Conference last time, there were one or two scrappy sides but I don't remember any as bad as Southport on Saturday. From the start, they were feigning injury to get our players booked or sent off. Brodie was only on the pitch thirty seconds before he suddenly keeled over clutchi...

Matchday thread: Torquay United v Southport – 16th August
Just got back so here goes. Steve Breed got it just right IMO. This was a good, exciting match - perhaps because of rather than inspite of the sending off. First the sending off - all Bowman's fault - no need to even get involved with Kay. He should have walked away from any provocation but instead ...

Downes - superb defending
Cameron - all the good attacks came through him
Macdonald - good display under pressure
Young - but nearly lost his head after the sending off
Rice - another outstanding save today to keep the sheet clean

The Gulls v Welling (Home) 12/08/2014
Goodness knows how we kept a clean sheet tonight! We were very good going forward, especially in the first half when by my reckoning we had 14 attempts, 6 on target. Second half we were second best with only 5 attempts and 1 on target for Ajala's classy goal. In defence we were quite simply shocking...

Actually Terry, a "real" supporter is one who turns out regularly when the team are serving up dross and renews their season ticket even when the Club is relegated. In other words supporting through thick and thin. Unfortunately, you have failed on both counts so it really is a case of &qu...

Went to see the Strawbs tonight - it was a great evening with sensational music.
