Financial Situation.
The number of stewards for each game is calculated on the intelligence from the Police and the visiting team ( hence the reason the Away Terrace is closed for some games) plus what we believe will be the home support based on current attendance figures, day of the week etc. The footballing authoriti...

We do have volunteers at the Club and their contribution is invaluable but they tend not to be the ones in shirts ,shorts and boots! I cannot really comment on player rumors but you never know what might appear on the O/S later today!

I am sorry but this is absolute nonsense. The stewards are paid by the company that employs them ( which is not Torquay United) who in turn submit an invoice for services provided which the Club duly pays. Inaccurate scaremongering like this does not help anybody and certainly not the Club !

Ideas for Mr Candy
Thanks Tomogull, yes we will be asking about the "super-roller" that Exeter borrowed from Somerset. It basically helps remove surface water which whilst of some help is not the full answer to the problems we have. Thanks for the suggestion though. Regards,
Andrew

We can play it, its up to you guys to sing it. If it works we can keep it going but "Club Anthems" never please everyone because of different age groups, likes and dislikes etc. I can confirm that Neil Dymond ( sorry DiamondGirl) has left the building and taken Sweet Caroline with him!

Burton game off?
Morning All, Despite the heavy rain overnight the Groundsman remains confident that the game will be on tonight. Clearly if the forecast changes and we get heavy rain as opposed to the light showers that are predicted then the situation could change again. We will endeavor to provide updates if the ...

Leaking of Confidential Information
Some interesting views but it would be inappropriate for me to comment any further. However, I would point you in the direction of other forums where there are also interesting views expressed and in particular on the value of opponents getting team information in advance.

Leaking of Confidential Information
Some of you will have read on other fans forums that information on team selection plus other sensitive information has been leaked by someone calling themselves "Supergulls". Whilst I am not questioning their motives at this stage I have issued on the other forums a polite notice to stop ...

Season tickets - a suggestion
If you report this to the Police and get a crime reference number the Club will replace the lost/stolen book but there is a cost of £30 for the replacement book. Still a hassle and more cost but not as much as having to pay each game. Anyone found using the lost/stolen book will be reported to the P...

are we giving the popside to Argyle fans ?
I will deal with this rumour before it grows legs and state categorically that the Popside has NOT been given to Plymouth. Plymouth have received there normal allocation of tickets for the Away Terrace and the away sections of Bristows Bench. They won't be given any more for the usual health and safe...

Re: Portsmouth ask for more tickets
In theory it seems a good idea but in practice it is more complicated and costly. Sunnysideup has identified one of the main problems with using the Bristows Bench ( which is likely to be nearly sold out anyway). The minute we increase the away allocation we are also likely to incur additional polic...

Re: Ideas for Mr Candy
I think the nettist matches were organised by the TUST or some other supporters group. There are always many requests to use the pitch at the end of the season so it would have to be organised and agreed with the Club in good time. I am sure the cross bar challenge will return but not until the curr...
