May as well play Lovett, likely to be our keeper next season, probably a safer pair of hands than the overpaid Halstead right now.

I understand the feelings towards Edwards but can someone explain why Mel Hayman is 'disliked' so much to put it mildly? Apparently she is a poor accountant, I imagine it was Osborne / Edwards who negotiated Johnson, Downes and P. Johnsons etc contracts I don't know anything about her , I know her f...

Torquay United v Weston Super Mare Mon 1st

Watching the highlights how the hell did Halstead let that shot in from Reid ? outside the box , not particularly well struck and Halstead was standing well over to the side of the goal where it crept in. No wonder Hall and Lapslie just stare at him. Not a consistent keeper at all , makes some great...

Just wondering if I got that right , they call the top layer grass or strips of turf in the write ups
but perhaps they mean artificial grass

Just reading about Gloucester Citys pitch The top layer is actually grass though they call it 3G, huge strips of 15mm thick turf have been laid on 35mm of sand and rubber crumb with a shock pad layer underneath and it drains superbly. No idea what it cost , they say it's international standard but s...

Sorry to hear that, perhaps explains his lack of performance/appearances though Downes said he had injured his knees and had ice packs on them and was doubtful for the Easter games

The high earners will be gone next season. Hall, Moxey, Dawson, Halstead, Lapslie,
Stobbs, McGavin , Jarvis....
That will save us a packet.

I think it's the cheaper ones that cost 500k !
The better ones nearer a million ?
I wouldn't want one like Tonbridge have got

Jarvis certainly wasn't interested at Tonbridge
he obviously didn't like the surface and more or less gave up - embarrassing performance.

I feel Ash is getting some unfair criticism at present too. What do people expect , for a start all he gets are overhit passes to chase or balls flying around his head and no support If you play a.lone striker it's got to be someone like Rene Howe not a fly weight. McGavin just seems incapable of in...

Crowds may be higher last few games due to emotional factor but we've been averaging well over 2000 every game , current average 2400. Only 6 of 22 under that and then 1800ish and that's for a team that's been awful all season You could argue it's season tickets and we won't sell as many next season...

A terrible team aren't resulting in low crowds now though ? Can a part time team be any worse ? With new players with the right mindset being coached to play like the teams who have outplayed us this season. Pass and move and understanding with sharpness and alertness to want the ball first, it's no...

Remember him scoring after 3 minutes in a Boxing Day blizzard in 1970 against Plymouth in the days when we were the best team in Devon . 2-1 win with John Rudge scoring the winner after Jim Furnell parried his penalty.
Game would never have been played today , with snow and ice on the pitch.
