Actually, a fair few comments coming in, and not too much bitching at each other. We are becoming a together bunch. Differences of opinion, yes, but all together in supporting a tosh team, and all with the hope of improvement!

Aveley F C vs Torquay United Sat 2 Sept KO 3pm
Players do have to be accountable to some level. The second goal, just watch Stobbs. (And I like the player). He just ambles back then leaves a player to run on. The defence are then out numbered and trying to close gaps. Laziness from Stobbs to expose the defence. If they are a poor defence, don't ...

Sensible views from Dave Caldwell. Mellow also talks in a considered way. I've been criticised for questioning what GJ should do with the players. Many think GJ should go, I'd rather focus on what we have. You can't criticise Hanson and McGavin for Saturday's performance, as I (and I didn't go to th...

Aveley F C vs Torquay United Sat 2 Sept KO 3pm
GJs words after the game were fair and reasonable, but we need to know what he is going to do to change things. For example, should he drop the player who made the most misplaced passes? Should he guarantee to drop 2 or 3 players if the team don't perform? We need to see action taken by GJ, else, be...

I'm always a fan of 4-3-3. Compact midfield, try to our number them in the middle of the park....
We shall see. Despite being a GJ supporter, I think if we lose this game, then he will be on his way.
So a win please!

I don't think a win is a given for the gulls, but would expect us to win.
I stand by GJ.

De Silas certainly got the skill, although sometimes went missing in games and was defensively poor. Stobbs is the better all round player, but having De Silva gives another option so it must he a good move and the kid will improve as well. Well played GJ.

Jamie Reid is the one player that went from zero to hero under GJ.
Now Aaron Jarvis.
Many of the better players signed quickly this season because of GJ. Dawson, Stobbs, Collins.
Maybe he's sinply a good bloke. Nothing wrong with that.

That match at Weston didn't cover us in glory. There were some 18,19yr old Torquay "fans" giving the Weston goalie out of order abuse throughout the 2nd half. They should have been kicked out. They were chanting "Gary Johnston's Yellow Army". Yes, they didn't even know the name o...

I agree with Desperado. I don't care much for cooking demonstrations either. I just watch the gulls. Despite being a fan for many years, I can't get too animated if we have a poor season, cos I'll watch them the following season regardless. Rather than moaning, I'm looking forward to the new season...
