Having been born in the 1970's I consider that decade to be the modern era. Apologies. When would you consider that the 'modern era' commenced? I will see if I can find an example to suggest which would fit with your arbitrary constraints.

Why the experts on the bench cannot see that Exodus and Briscoe are not fit enough to wear the shirt is beyond me. We will never win with 9 men. We really are in trouble here. We haven't got a pot to p*** in and now we've got no manager either. Here's hoping Mr Edwards is able to act like the messiah he clearly believes he is and perform the miracle of getting some results, making us solvent and keeping us in the(non) league. God help us.
