Lapslie was all but invisible against Dover last week - maybe he was already injured?!

Keiron Evans and Nico Lawrence played for their respective sides in last night's Cardiff v Colchester EFL Cup Match. Cardiff won 3-0 on penalties after the tie finished 2-2 after extra time.

1-0 home win - they can't be any more sloppy than they were at Dover?!

I should also praise Dover's ground and staff - the pitch was immaculate and all the spectators were covered so nobody got soaked. The staff were unfailingly poilte and helpful. It all reminded me of Plainmoor 30-40 years ago. You could pay by cash or card at the gate and they let my little grandaug...

Not quite the banana skin I thought might happen - but very nearly! Having moved from Bude to Canterbury fairly recently, Dover's ground is easy to get to from my new home, so no excuse for not attending the Gulls' first match of the new season.
