Re: PSF thread: Torquay v Yeovil (16/7/13)
And there's me thinking Gullscorer was guiding Danny with his journalistic studies. Grammar matters not to me or the hectoring from pendants, getting the gist of a double edged post does. Point made ? Nothing wrong with your grammar Trojan, unfortunately I rarely understand your "double edged ...

Re: PSF thread: Torquay v Yeovil (16/7/13)
How would you phrase the term annually retentive? Would it be "the annually retentive man is called Gullscorer", or "the man who is annually retentive is called Gullscorer", or "the man that is annually retentive is called Gullscorer" Or does it not matter in this case...

Re: Rene Howe - Signs for Burton Albion! A two year deal
You're right it wasn't funny at all, however I'm sure that Matt intended it to be so and no malice was intended, just poor judgement on his part.geezer wrote:Jerry would you be so kind as to please explain how it is funny or even remotely humorous to call someone's unborn child a bastard son!

Re: Rene Howe - Signs for Burton Albion! A two year deal
Maybe thats because atleast 13 of your 16 posts, are either slagging off this forum, other members of this forum or Torquay united fans in general, strange but true. As for that abuse , where did that happen, twitter maybe? Because I stand not far from the half way line on the popside and have neve...

Re: Shaun Taylor
Really? From where I'm sitting all Rene did was have the temerity to say he didn't want to sign a new contract with us. This caused some people to go into meltdown. How dare someone not love the club like we do!! I've not seen anything from him that suggests anything like what you suggest, he's simp...

Re: Shaun Taylor
We're very quick to mock clubs like Northampton for their big club attitude, yet we seem to be demonstrating a touch of this ourselves where Burton are concerned. They may not be a big step up, but they certainly aren't a step down.

Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
I can't see how Coventry have any money to spend, they can't have sold any season tickets as they haven't had any seats to sell them for!

Re: the new training facility
I'm slightly concerned that the training ground apparently has no watering system. (Last paragraph in the Herald's Rene Howe story) http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/Rene-Howe-poised-TQ1-Europa-League/story-19501346-detail/story.html With this weather forecast to continue for the next couple of ...

Re: Ideas for Mr Candy
Newport fans have a bit of a "reputation", so I guess the Rozzers are insisting on a larger than average presence which needs to be paid for.ferrarilover wrote:Why is Newport a premium match?

Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
I got it from Happy's post, which indicates therein that Happy himself got the info from Wiki, so it's probably about as reliable as Secret's Paul Benson rumour. That as may be, comparing the payments made by some obscure team from the 157th tier with Coventry City might not necessarily be represen...

Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
So, how does this affect the financial standing of NTFC? I don't want any lurking Cobblers to think this is sour grapes (you live in Northampton, I live at the beach, if I'm ever envious of a Cobbler, I'll kill myself), but is that not a tad out of order? Northants now have a 1.2m windfall for, bas...

I agree with Wivel.
Didn't see the point in signing McDonald in the first place as he was hardly more experienced then McKenzie. He looked decent in his first game, but I wasn't impressed with his subsequent performances.

Re: Ideas for Mr Candy
As I was wandering through the town centre this morning it was, as usual, totally swamped with foreign language students. We have thousands of them here every summer. Has the club ever approached any of the language schools? Obviously this would only work for the first few games of the season (we ha...
