Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?
Thanks for that CP Gull.
It's fair to say then, that we should really be contending for promotion. Anything less would be considered an underachievement.
On paper, our squad looks very competitive, and not even bad for the league above in my opinion.

What is up with the kit? Please tell me we aren't in luminous green for the rest of the season!

What formation are we lining up with from the friendlies?
I would suggest we're looking light on the wings and a target man, but other than that, we seem to have the makings of a good squad.
Do we feel this is Owers making a reasonable budget work, or do we have a fairly big budget for the league?

St Lukes Cup vs Cullompton Rangers
Whilst the initial reaction when you hear the result is one of shock, I agree with most of the posts above. It really doesn't matter. I actually believe that winning the game could have a more negative effect on the players. If you lose the game, business as usual, nothing's changed. If you win the ...

Very confused - what is GI's game?
I just want to try a little cost exercise. These are all total guesses at figures, so if anyone can provide more realistic prices, that would be great. Running club for 3+ years - £2m Purchase of Plainmoor - £500k to £1m Purchase of new land - £500k to £1m Materials for new stadium - £1.5m to £8m Ma...

Have we really got to wait this long
I've read his posts before. He holidays an FM15 game to around 2040 where all the players are regenerated players and picks a random club to challenge himself. Very unlikely that he'll be a Torquay fan, but FM can often develop a fondness for a club. I've followed Udinese for nearly 10 years after a...

Frank De Boer would be a great addition. Local lad and a TUFC legend. Plenty of NL experience and loads of contacts with local L1 and 2 clubs who want to loan out a good youth prospect.
He'd definitely turn down big European clubs to come and join us.

Childs play. I've done it many times on Football Manager. Won 4-0 against Barcelona in the Champions League final recently. Best team in the world by some way and the board are building me a 110,000 seater stadium to say thanks. Exeter went bust and Argyle are in League 2 with no money. Not very rea...

I like to think of them as the wedding photos from a marriage that ended really badly. Solicitors, arguments, custody of children, the whole shebang.

This 'give them 10 games' thing is nonsense. When have we ever actually done that? You might as well give the manager a vote of confidence, because he's getting sacked soon. I don't think I've ever seen a manager sacked after 10 games. If he continues doing badly, he gets sacked before 10 games, and...

Come on Dave, do you really think he uses cutlery? Imagine Henry VIII with the ability to unhinge his jaw like a snake.Southampton Gull wrote: ↑18 Aug 2017, 00:53 What has his cutlery got to do with anything?
I highly doubt he will be named manager but that won't stop him meddling with team selection for as long as possible.

If we end up appointing Geoff Harrop as manager, we might as well down tools and go and support Argyle. I think that would be the final nail in the coffin for me. I've not been to Plainmoor in nearly 3 years now, mainly due to visits to Devon timing in with away games, but I've seen a few of the awa...
