Re: Paul McCallum

Well done Alan Knill, just what the doctor ordered,a centre forward.I have been disappointed with Karl Hawley and think we now have a presence up front with this new guy, might even be a kick up the jacksey for Hawley. In my view when everybody is fit we have a very good squad.

Re: Torquay United v Mansfield Town - 19/10/13

Yet again another poor attendance at plainmoor with 14% of the enemy making up the crowd. The problem is that the away team bring supporters to Torquay for a weekend away, good for us in terms of Finance but makes us look pathetic with our own support.I think we now have the team we deserve.

Re: Torquay United v Mansfield Town - 19/10/13

A point is a point but now we are back in the brown stuff with Pearce missing for the next game.Fixtures do not look good on Tuesday so we need a very strong performance against Burton to stop dropping into the bottom two.

Re: The Old Codgers Club

More old memories,at half time we had an old chap who came through the enclosure selling the Hereld Express but always with the same cry "Dead man found in coffin",you could not help but laugh. Also at 6 O'clock a guy went down our street on torre selling the football final with all the wri...

Re: Just how bad is our start?

Never mind in by end of October, I have a feeling we will be in the bottom two on Saturday night.Love the attitude of AustrianAndy, giving it everything at Wycombe and as he says whatever the result you can at least say I did my bit.I hope AK just goes up there and as Jose says just park the bus,let'...

Re: How many of you are actual fans?

Well said oil beef,I agree 100%.Although I am worried that we need a couple of players and don't have the money the crowd could make a big difference .

Re: Torquay United v York City - 5/10/13

Now I am worried,I am trying to take some positives from this game.our centre of defence was taken away by injury and illness and replaced by a new recuite and a guy playing out of position so we were allways up against it but its now ten games and we are dropping like a stone. We need an old head in...

Re: Newport v Torquay United. 28/09/2013

I discovered this site in the close season and have enjoyed the thoughts and opinions of many of the people who have posted but lately there seems to be a lot of negativity around.Firsty I think we are very lucky to have a football league team in Torquay,we survive on gates of 2500 and the club is r...

Re: Newport v Torquay United. 28/09/2013

Must feel confident about a positive result tomorrow,Alan Knill now seems to have sorted out his squad with players now going out on loan and one new player coming in.If we start well we will get a point a least.
