Re: Stevenage vs Torquay - 18th September

Why can't Radio Devon find a regular group of commentators who are of a reasonable standard? It's really hard to get any impression of the game. I feel sorry for Dave Thomas, who does an excellent job every week.

Re: Billy Kee and Eunan O'Kane

I think they are both unlucky that despite being good players they don't fit naturally into a lower league 4-4-2. Kee isn't a target man or a man to play off a target man, so it's hard to find a good partner for him. At present, Zebs and Benyon would be my first choice front 2. O'Kane is very lightw...

Re: Torquayfans.com Player of the season award

I've just read your PM Joe, as I've moved up to Scotland and I don't have internet access for the next couple of weeks. I'll create 6 threads now for the 6 games already played, so we have all the data. We can discuss the rest of it over the season, as there's no rush at all. It would be interesting...

Re: Player of the month went to....

Defenders will hardly ever win awards like this, just because it's impossible to make a highlights reel to show with the nominations. They can show Le Fondre's goals with about 2 minutes of work, but you can't create highlights for Ellis in the same way. Not to mention that no-one has seen all the p...

Re: Southend - Torquay

Pretty awful. Nothing happened for him at all, and it showed up all the negative aspects of his game (and physical nature). I'd give him a 2, because he did at least try and make things happen, even if we never once managed to beat the first man.

Re: Southend - Torquay

386 away fans btw, a very good number for such a long trip. Made a good level of noise too, although it did get a bit quieter in the middle for obvious reasons.

Re: Southend - Torquay

We were very poor for the first 70 mins, and 2-0 was a very fair scoreline. Maybe on another day it might have plodded along at 0-0 because Southend didn't create an awful of of chances, but two great goals gave them the result that reflected the play. For the last 20 mins we threw everything at the...
