Taking the knee.

'Many people were influenced to vote for Brexit by Farage, without appearing to know that Farage is a long term admirer of Putin and a racist and that he had no idea how Brexit would turn out.' I could see first hand today how Brexit would turn out - 3 miles of parked HGV's along the M20 in Kent, he...

Can We Make the Play Offs?

Another issue is that Lee Johnson has just been given the boot at Sunderland - will this affect Stephen Wearne's loan with us? We need all the quality players we can get hold of if we are to get anywhere near the play-offs.

Radio Devon and the demise of the BBC

The other smokescreen is using the military to deal with migrants, or sending them to Ghana or Rwanda for processing. Just anything really to divert from the worst Government I can remember in my 67 years!

Chants thread

It was actually early in the 2015-16 season - memory failing me!

Chants thread

I think that chant was started by the Plymouth Argyle Lords Taverners supporters group who came to support the club at Plainmoor when we thought it was about to fold (early in the 2016-17 season I think). I can't remember who we were playing but I was sitting in Bristows Bench listening to the chant...

Tonbridge Angels v Torquay Utd - FA Trophy 3rd - 18th December

Torquay's result the only shock of the day in the Trophy - how typical is that?

Torquay United v Dover Athletic Sat 13 Nov KO 3pm

A mate of mine was at the match on Saturday and he felt that the 'fans' were booing the choice of match sponsor rather than the choice of man of the match. Clearly Little felt that the booing was aimed at him and reacted accordingly.

Ex-Gull watch

I see that Rob Street set up Wilfred Zaha for Palace's winning goal against Walsall in their friedly yesterday. He must be in new manager Nuno's plans even though he didn't exactly set the world on fire while on loan to Torquay!

Hmmm - I wonder if there is any truth in this 'news':

Chesterfield v Torquay United Monday 3 May KO 3pm

According to the BBC westcountry news just now, it was 'a bad day at the office' for Torquay as they apparently lost 2-0 at Chesterfield!

Legends of the Buckle Era

And yet Paul Buckle wasn't massively popular on the Popside at the time - in fact he came in for a fair amount of stick at the matches I attended!
