Two strikers Imminent?

Would have thought Ryan Brunt on loan from Exeter would have been a good move. Not sure if he's still injured but if not then he'd be a handful at NL level. Saw him play for York a few times and didn't really get the ball much to be effective but a bit like Andy Carroll. Use him effectively and he'...

The squad as it stands.....

At least the numbers are on the way up. But it’s a shame to see loans coming in and not permanent signings (perhaps they are to come later).

Still a forward, a right back and a centre half missing

Two strikers Imminent?

Having lived in - and watched - Bishops Stortford for most of the last 10 years, that’s not a great barometer of ability.

But almost certainly comparable with our current “strike force”

Guy Gnabouyou leaves!

Wasn’t good enough, simple as that.

I don’t see why people are getting in such a flap - hopefully this releases some budget to try and bring in someone can displace the Reid/Keating “strike force”

MOTM - Boreham Wood

Yesterday was the first time under this management ~ I've watched the games at Dagenham, Aldershot in the cup, Ebbsfleet and Sutton ~ that they had reverted to the appearance and dispirit of playing under Nicholson and then Herrera. It was truly shocking yesterday, and utterly depressing to witness...

Torquay v Boreham Wood

Very, very poor half. This is the 3rd game under Owers I’ve been too (Dagenham and Ebbsfleet being the others) and this is the worst performance by a mile. No threat whatsoever- BW are so comfortable here. We’ve not been anywhere near their goal, and are second best all over the pitch. Goal was shoc...

Eastleigh v Torquay United - Boxing Day 2017

I’ll wait to hear what those who went make of the performance before judging whether it was a point won or 2 lost. Feels like 2 lost to me atm

Torquay United v Maidstone FA Trophy

I’m with Andy on this one. Not fussed about today’s game and won’t be upset if we go out. The fact that GO is using it as an opportunity to give game time to returning players suggests he has a broadly similar approach. I don’t mind if we won today or the next round tbf, as those games don’t impact ...

The National League Form Table.

I distinctly remember someone saying that from the day GO took over, we’d need to average 1.3points a game to reach 51. So basically 4 points for every 3 games. I’ve been judging things by that marker ever since. The Orient game represented the end of the 4th three-game run, and saw us on 14 points ...

I still cannot believe that this issue will prevent a side being allowed to take their place in either the lpay-offs or the EFL should they achieve promotion. The subject would be taken to law and the football authorities know that whatever those reactionary opponents to progress think; they would ...

Sutton united V Torquay United 21/11/17

If from what I heard, and I understand it correctly, the relegated clubs may well indeed contain a surprise. It goes like this. There are sides competing for play off spots that have artificial pitches. These are not allowed in the football league. The national league has said that any team in the ...

Sutton united V Torquay United 21/11/17

Great result. Was planning to go, but made the pact with myself I’d only make the effort if we won one of the two previous home games. I just knew this would happen, and it wouldn’t have happened if I’d been there. What’s important now is Saturday. It’s all very well having the odd good result, but ...

Does passion come before or after?

I know you said not local Andy, but I’ll get the ball rolling for you. I was introduced to TUFC as part of the Frank Prince Football in the Community scheme back at the end of the 92/93 season. Went along to a game (Hereford, 0-0, bloody awful game) and had the whole stadium tour, meet the players e...

Cash offer ? Call me thick but I assume that's a transfer fee. Shoot me down in flames but when was last transfer fee we paid. Bodin? Exactly that - it’s all on the BBC now. Kind of dispels the theory of GI running the club into the ground if they are working on paying fees. Unless the fee is compl...

Manset would be a dream ticket if he can rediscover his previous form. Saw him cause us all manner of bother at Hereford a few years back before his move to Reading. Absolute beast, power and pace in abundance and plenty of technical ability too.
