Boycott

It's a fair point Matt. It's perfectly understandable however to build up a defence mechanism due to constantly being misunderstood and misinterpreted over time although that doesn't excuse the terminology used. You see i am always able to accept when i'm wrong, have overstepped the mark and apolog...

Boycott

Disagreeing with someone is not bullying.

Calling people "thickos" and "ignorant" because they call you on something followed by a veiled threat to publish users comments in a book is, I would posit, closer to bullying. Looks like you are guilty of the hypocrisy you rail against.

You never stop whinging about Torquay being crap and we should start a Phoenix. Why dont YOU do it then?
You seem to revel in the clubs hardships.

Its November. We are 6pts from safety. Hardly impossible odds. Get a decent striker and we will climb the League.

Striker

The reason we can't sign a decent striker is plain and simple finance. Even average strikers cost a lot more than decent players in other positions. Bang in a few goals and the price gets even higher. Lafayette was on our radar a while ago but £1700/week was too much for us. We'd want a whole forwa...

Should all contracted players terminate their contracts in order to save our club

The demise of the club is down to many reasons, too many to list here but some of the obvious ones are - The total mis-management of the club off the pitch The desire to employ ex-players with no previous experience as manager A local population who generally don't turn up to support the club and h...

Torquay United v Maidenhead, Match Day Thread 03/10/17

It would be VERY harsh on Dorel if Clarke walked straight back into the team. Obviously I’ve not seen him play, but the reports have been excellent. He should be told the position is his until Clarke can find a way to oust him. GO has already said the shirt is Dorels as long as he keeps performing ...

Player Fitness

No-one complained about fitness when we finished the last two seasons stronger than other sides. If I am a supporter of Kevin Nicholson then I could use the examples that we finished strongly in both seasons under Nicholson as proof that his training and fitness programmes must be better than other...

Owers yet to sign a contract.....

Obviously your objectivity is seriously screwed because I've never made any inference whatsoever that he is a friend of mine. The rest of your argument is no different to what I've always maintained. Ok. I accept that was poorly worded. You are, I am sure you agree, one of the most consistently pro...

You seem obsessed with this 4 games stat.
Actual stat is 28 wins from 104 matches.

Owers yet to sign a contract.....

You lack any objectivity as you claim to be his friend. Quite simply the fitness regime and lack of preperation were shocking. Believing some bloke from the local gym is some sort of fitness guru was a massive mistake. If you were honest he was the wrong appointment. Employing a total novice was min...

Torquay United v Macclesfield Town, Match Day Thread 23/9/17

He had well over 60 games. I am not blaming him for all. His time was up. He wasnt motivating the team and the fitness levels were dire. He himself said he had a bigger budget this season. Football is about results, nice guy or not. He deseves thanks for his effort but its time to get behind the new...
