Top 100 Torquay United Players

Hooray, Darren Moore. The first one on my list. Loved this chap. Gave his all. Liked Mo's 'zone of terror'. That about sums up his awesome presence. Have programmes of him playing in the reserves as a youngster against Glastonbury and the likes. Came up through the ranks. He still has strong associa...

Top 100 Torquay United Players

Jim Fryatt, had the best mutton chop sideburns in the league. Liked him. Apparently had a punch up with Robin Stubbs. Shame he didnt stay longer. Jamie Ward was good as well, gave good service. Sold on the last day of the transfer window and with that our last chance of avoiding relegation.

I saw most of this match. Enjoyable time. Good team spirit evident. Referee blew up 5 minutes early. Goughy even more devastating in the penalty area than when she is on the squash court. No programmes issued.

Yep, Liked him. Shame there was that spat about pay etc. He could have become a legend for the Gulls. Always amazed how he managed to find the net despite having markers close. No long shots or spectacular goals, just sharp instincts around the box. Him and Colin Bettany in the same team, awesome.

Top 100 Torquay United Players

Jo Kuffour, What a great player he was, I agree, sign him up now. Proper effort. Who among us who were stood behind the goal at that memorable match at Carlise on 29th April 2006 can forget his contribution to perhaps one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. Not only was he a scorer but didn...

Craig Taylor was a really good player and not much got past him or Woodsy. Plenty of effort from Craig and a good spot by Leroy.

Yes, indeed, a happy retirement. This man has been true quality at Torquay United. If I am not mistaken Ian was one of the leading figures, if not the leading figure in identifying the parlous situation the club found itself in when we had the 'walter mitty' chairman taking the club on the road to r...

I hope we win but the league must be a priority. That Ebbsfleet final was awful, talk about an anti climax to the season. Look out for the tyre marks on the roof of the stands because of the close proximity of the airport.

This match will test out the fans. Following their poor display on Saturday I confidently predict that the managers pep talk will have the desired affect and that the gulls will win 4-2.

This game should be a cracker. Two entertaining teams. I predict a 4-2 win for the Gulls. Really looking forward to it.

Well done Roadrunner, my sentiments entirely but you can see how someone travelling for the home games from North Somerset could be put off by the cost of so many home games on the trot and the time involved. There will be some put off by non league football but you, me the legend Paul B'astard, wil...

I wonder what the tipping point is for the faithful 2000? I have been there for sub 1000 attendances. For my part watching Torquay United in the conference is acceptable and lets face it, the entertainment has been really good. Conference South and below, yep, I would still go even if there were 500...

I agree with chunky. Can't beat the traditional colours of blue and yellow. We are, after all, the Brazil of the Westcountry.
