Re: Martin Rice
I remember as well as anyone else how poor Rice was when here before and I was one of his biggest critics, but I'm not so stupid as to think he can't possibly have improved and matured as a keeper since. The only assumptions i can see are the ones in your post. You assume I haven't seen Olly play, a...

Re: What is it with Crawley?
At the Orient game (we would have gone up if we had drawn I think, but we lost 2-0 and had to settle for the play-offs, where we lost in the final), Raynor behaved disgustingly, winding up the Gulls fans before the game. Raynor is appalling, he has the a smirk on his face when behaving like the sch...

Re: What is it with Crawley?
No need to apologise. You never know, it might help unite Gulls and Gasheads if it stays here
I think you're right though, this thread has run its course on our Main Board.

Match Reporters
The TorquayFans.com Staff have discussed an idea to appoint some members to become official Match Reporters for the forum. Jeff and tommyg have both accepted my offer to become the first two and anyone who has read their reports previously will instantly know why. They produce some very in-depth ana...

Re: PSF: Torquay United vs Bristol City
We wont be any trouble tomorrow, best behaviour =D . When we last played you in a League game at your place, I was leaving the ground with my young son and he started singing "Torquay till I die" right in front of a load of City fans. There was a group of about a dozen skinheads who dwarf...

Re: What is it with Crawley?
Can I ask you what it is with Crawley that has caused soo much rivalry between you? I appreciate they knocked you out of the cup but was it "Off the pitch" problems with the Management or the way they play.It has been mentioned a lot by our supporters as if it is now going to be a rivalry...

Quality post, Ian.
It's just a shame not many others can't put forward a sensible and balanced view.

Re: Martin Rice
So, Brucie and Hector decide Rice is crap without seeing him perform for over 2 seasons? He was first choice for Truro last season and that side won promotion to the Conference. Perhaps either of you two would like to come up with a name and one that would be happy to bide his time sitting on the be...

Re: Rene Howe ....
True, hopefully regular football at a club where he'll be staying at will help him. It's just that when we signed him (Peterborough back a few years) he came with a big price tag and a lot of promise, didn't do much and ended up on loan away somewhere (Rochdale?). Back then he had a lot of hunger a...

Re: Rene Howe ....
That was my point mate. He was barely 21. Since then his record shows roughly a goal every three games. I'll accept that when you take our budget into account.
