Re: Paul Buckle’s Head

However Shane, Nicky Wroe gives away the ball almost every time he touches it. Eunan keeps the ball so well and can find a yellow shirt with a pass. Wroe is hopeless, utterly, utterly hopeless and he needs to be left out to force the armband to go to Pickles and to give us more quality in the midfie...

Shane,

You're normally so sensible, what has caused this blip of lunacy?

Re: Paul Buckle’s Head

You maybe right about the captain's armband but based on the alternatives we would miss Wroe. By the way he wasn't the worst central midefielder for us yesterday. I don't know if you are sleeping with Nicky's daughter or somesuch, but you fevered defence of useless Nicky Wroe is getting beyond a jo...

Re: Colin Lee pay-off. Will it cut our playing budget?

I'm reliably informed that the Club have agreed a settlement with Colin Lee on a figure of over £100,000. My main concern is will this cut drastically into our playing budget? It'll have to come from somewhere and I can't see where else they could save that amount of cash. Colin Lee has made...

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread

regarding macklin better in the air than danny .. i take it you did not go to the accy game then :L  [/color] I did, and I have been to all the reserve team games this season too, Mackers is better in the air than Danny in the same way that a happy meal is better than no food at all, it's not...

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread

Why start Macklin ? He is better in the air than danny, yes, but is that really that hard? I think he lacks the experience Danny has, danny likes to cut inside, and sometimes pick a pass to the opposite wing, also his crosses are about 90% succesful. As Nick says, Danny was one of our main threats ...

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread

So, we line up 4-3-1-2... Bevs Robbo - Ellis - Pickles - Nico Wayno - Lamby - Macklin EoK Zedders Benners It's got pace (Zedders, Macklin). Good D cover (Wayno gets back, Lamby is a destroyer of Worlds). Movement (fully fit Benners, all over the place). Skill and vision (find me a better picker of a...

Re: Present whereabouts of David Graham

I was going to be very abusive to HOHG about coming onto a thread when it was absolutely clear what it was about from the thread title, then, upon finding the exact content described, he still felt the need to let the world know he didn't care, rather than simply ignoring the thread. But Since he wa...

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread

Benno, mate, Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong! Well, not necessarily wrong to have that opinion, but it's certainly NOT the XI I would start. I'd have Danny on the bench, his recent performances in the 1st team do not warrant him keeping his starting place. Bring in Macklin who is quicker, srtonger...

Re: Torquay 2nd XI v Swindon

Would people seriously have a contrary opinion to Brucie? Unbelievable. Apologies for the appalling word order in the first sentence of my last post. In point of fact, I wouldn't start Big Bill in preference to Benners. However, I would start him in preference to Gritts. Billy needs a fairly specifi...

Re: Torquay 2nd XI v Swindon

Agree about Senda entirely. His vast experience shows, despite having been at the club for a V. short time, he wasn't shy in marshaling his defensive teammates. He looked comfortable on te ball and not once did he boot the ball out or a throw , preferring instead to either control the ball and turn ...

We haven't scored for 270 mins of football and we haven't scored 5 since Kiddiminster in 2007. What on Earth are you offering as evidence to support this lunacy?

Coincidentally, I think that may well be the home side's formation (they get an extra couple of players for reasons unclear.)

Re: Stevenage vs Torquay - 18th September

Last time we visited (the best 0-0 draw you will ever see) we bought 1000 and that was a conference match. There should be a few of us, if I were making a genuine guess, I'd go for 831.

Guys,

You have surpassed yourselves, some of these are great. I'm so impressed, I'm considering a prize for the best one. Perhaps a poke in the eye with a pointy stick or some such.
