Do any Torquay United fans still actually post on this site?
Given the sheer amount of negativity you would think this was an anti-Gulls forum.

Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?

Zippy wrote: 24 Jun 2018, 20:06 NO Mate all I know is there are at least 3 players due to sign this week, got no names or positions, seems he doesn't want to attract attention to other clubs.
That's an interesting point and others would do well to take it on board when it comes to lambasting the club for lack of communication.

I want Gowling to stay....

I hope the Club will complete their investigation on this matter and issue a Statement quickly. if I was involved in a dispute with my employer i would hope they would not be publishing the results of any investigation. Employee/employer relations are confidential and we have no right or business i...

I want Gowling to stay....

When I consider Gowlings tweet about this funeral alongside his tweet to Klukowski, I don't see a heroic whistle blower rather an embittered employee.

Classic example of hero to zero. Last season he was seen to be our saviour, another one of those sacred cows who were held to be above from criticism. Today everyone can see him for the self serving hypocrite he really is.

My bad then. One things for sure though, fictional films about football are usually shite.

I think we can gauge from this that Gowling is definitely not going buckle down and help the team out. Time to pay up his contract before he starts poisoning the dressing room.

If there is a market for such things then exploit it. This is an attempt to open up alternative revenue streams which the club desperately needs and we should be glad that someone is trying to do something about it instead of carping about it.

Do you honestly think the club would illegally show the film on a tv set, publicise it and charge £7.50 for it. A two minute search on Google reveals that the promoter is Itchy Fish Film Ltd and the screening is a fundraiser for the club. If you miss it you see it at Exeter Phoenix in the first week...

Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?

A club of our size could have the pick of all the best part-time players west of Swindon if we were part-time but they aren't going to risk jacking in their "real" job for the offer of a one year punt at full time with us (probably earning less than their combined football and non-footbal...

Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?

I think it's safe to say 100 of those 120 clubs will not be looking at or offering contracts to players that we will be looking at..... No but we are in competition with about 40 of them (national league and league 2) therefore we will probably be waiting for those clubs to finish their recruitment...

Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?

The fact of the matter is we are in competition with other full time professional clubs to recruit players. Given our position we are one of the very least attractive clubs to sign for. Players looking for full time contracts will naturally consider the 120 plus full time clubs above us before even ...

I don't think that is a Freudian slip; it is reality. If we get the sort of players that are going to get us promoted then naturally they will attract the attention of higher up clubs. How else are we going to attract young up and coming talent without dangling the carrot of career development? You ...

Due Diligence at Truro

If Masters wanted to buy, or was able to buy TUFC, he could have done it by now simply by transferring his shares in Truro to other members of his family who already seat on the Truro board.

If Gowling and Pittman are fit and willing then use them, they're on the pay roll anyway. I don't know what the issue with Pittman was last season but the season before his strike rate was a goal every two games at Harrogate in the NLN.
