Re: Buckle interview
Why is he discussing our players? You'd think having behaved the way he did in the last month of his tenure as our manager, he'd be reluctant to say anything remotely contentious about our club and it's players. He knows exactly what he's doing - it's unsettling the players we have here that he's i...

Re: Buckle interview
SG most probably! I'll be surprised if we see zebroski or okane in a Torquay shirt next season :L hopefully they'll stay but just can't see it :( Would still only be speculation even from Dave at the moment,i think its fair to say offer's would have been received for O'Kane and Zebs again thats me ...

Re: Buckle interview
Least we forget that when buckle here,he knew Tisdale's plans,i believe he knew Tisdale was considering moves for Sills and Benyon,he knew which players he could go back for and get,and duely did, aswell as snapping up Sills and Benyon as quick as he could. He has done the same to us,and no doubt sho...

Re: Craig Stanley
Not sure it's quite as simple as that. Stanley under Buckle at Torquay would have earned X amount. Stanley under Buckle at Rovers will earn Y amount. Perhaps he would have signed for Torquay if Bucks was here - but that is possibly due to a lack of options (Rovers probably wouldn't have been intere...

Re: Craig Stanley
Totaly diss-agree with you there Fletch,Sammy macc let him go out on loan because he did not want to keep Stanners, who as we know was out of contract in the summer, when he came to Torquay Stanley was not to know Sammy macc was going to part company with Morecambe,so he came to us with a view to earn...

Re: What is the Matter with you People
Don t be fooled by awards Troj me old nag. It was primarily a protest vote. I think I got it during a period when I was whinging and moaning about the lack of leadership and direction being displayed at the club. Also the seeming ineffectiveness of our then Chief Executive, and the general lack of ...

Re: Craig Stanley
Am I missing the point of this thread? Surely Craig Stanley was a loanee. We have no right to claim these players as our own no matter how endeared we were with their performances. Tomlin, Oastler, Robinson, Stanley et al. I like to claim that Dean Sturridge and Jason Roberts were ours once, but in...

Re: John Milton
Can anyone explain what Veysey has done that shows he is such a good coach? I have never met the guy and have never seen him working but from the evidence on the pitch he doesn't seem to be particularly impressive. Beven has always had one very glaring weakness, his kicking. Yet this has never impr...

Re: Matt Williams
Well not to sure why people keep coming up with this lack of coaching experience from,i know its at a different level , what coaching experience or previous managment jobs did David O'Leary have before he took Leeds to the champions league semi-final,seeing off the likes of Barcalona and AC milan al...

Re: Matt Williams
Its not anything to do with his lack of coaching experience, not going to go down the road of publicly giving my opinion on Matt Williams have met him personaly a number of times, however there is one huge difference in these three names. Chris hargeaves,Kevin Phillips both ex-professional footballers...

Re: John Milton
I am confused, has John Milton left our club did not see it annouced anywhere,on the subject of Kenny Vevsey he is indeed a top quailty keeper coach now that would be a big loss.

Ah,Yes Shane, but we know a lot more about there new manager than they do,he could do very well for them,or..............................well you know.Fonda wrote:I don't think it's unreasonable to be excited about the arrival of a new manager. In a weeks time, we might be equally as excited. Or maybe not.
