Slough vs Torquay 26/08/23 15:00
Winning when playing badly is a good sign. However, we are relying on Mark Halstead to keep us in games and it won’t happen forever. We desperately need to bolster in midfield and we are one game closer to doing so.

St Albans City v Torquay United - 19th August 3pm
First half we did ok and deserved to be ahead.
Second 45 was pretty bad and we were walking wounded again.
Let’s take the 3 points, but we need some quality loans to come in with Dawson and Hall both out.

Who's in control?
It IS a weakness otherwise we wouldn't have to wear glasses or contact lenses. This is logical. I wear glasses and it is definately a weakness. What I stated is that you do not "advertise" on mainstream, especially someone who has just come back from an eye operation the fact that he will...

Torquay v Chippenham Town 15/08/23 19:45
I wondered whether those saying it was a terrible game last night were actually there ??? I thought it was 100 times a better performance by us. Chippenham weren’t as good as Worthing but still a test. Plus points were: 4-4-2 Ross Marshall - I’ve been a critic of him but he did well bst the odd loo...

Bloke wears glasses, so what?! It’s not a weakness, loads of players need them + loads of players wear contact lenses - they don’t just fall out.

Torquay Utd v Worthing 12/8/2023 15:00
99% percent of the problem yesterday was the non existent midfield, they simply cannot run. Lapslie and Dawson both out, two games in. Absolute shambles.

At least ditch the 3-5-2. It got us relegated and clearly isn’t working again.

Dover Athletic v Torquay United - 3pm 5th Aug
Maybe we cant judge but looking at the blindingly obvious we paraded three centre backs in Craske, Tomlinson and Donnellan. The former 2 are massively short of any experience whatsoever. Yet again we have no back striker on the bench. A midfield of Mcgavin, Hall and Lapslie a desperately short of a...

Dover Athletic v Torquay United - 3pm 5th Aug
Barring the first 20 minutes on the pitch, that was a horrible away trip. Dreadful conditions driving down - the last 10 miles or so I was just presuming the match would be called off so bad was the surface water and flooding - credit to the Dover pitch as it held up remarkably well. No segregation...

Dover Athletic v Torquay United - 3pm 5th Aug
We weren’t outplayed. Went two nil up deservedly, then took foot off the gas and started playing hoofball. They got one back and we just couldn’t get going again. Centre back needs sorting, not sure Tomlinson is up to it based on today. Ash should’ve scored two and Jarvis missed a brilliant chance, ...

Very good signing. Just please, don’t play him at wing back.

Pre-Season Friendlies
I get it that some fans think GJ is "The Don" but football pretty much is about the here and now, and right now we are playing regional 6th tier football Vs part timers, and GJ is the brains behind this outcome, I genuinely don't think he's got any player better or improved, all his signi...

Dawson has had an operation? Where did you hear that?
