Re: Shaun North
I don't recall anyone having any problem with Taylor before Ling's leave of absence. All the bad feeling toward him comes from his time when thrust in to the limelight as first team manager. As far as I am aware he is a more than competent coach - which is what he really is on our limited budget, a ...

Re: Start with Yeoman next week
I only said Stevens on the wing because he came off the bench on Saturday. Could play anyone there really, they're all as equally without match practice as each other.

Re: Start with Yeoman next week
I voted no, I just don't see Yeoman and Jarvis working as a pair. Most likely I think will be Jarvis pushed up front with Stevens coming in on the right.

Re: The penny has finally dropped.....
Now now Super, let's not have any negativity around the place especially when all is looking up now. :na:  You're bloody right though! If they had played like their careers depended on it in just TWO more of our games this season then we'd already be safe. :@ :@ Not many of them HAVE futures h...

Re: Oxford United announce £1,000,000 loss!
It's on their OS, http://www.oufc.co.uk/news/article/00110413-accounts-766507.aspx. Disgusting. Professional football is just ridiculous now. How is it fair that we can get relelgated while tring to balance the books where they can get in to massive debts and stay in the league. After the Chappell n...

Re: New Chairperson - Thea Bristow
I wouldn't mind, but it doesn't seem to be based on anything. A load of speculation with no evidence at all. People making assumptions and then moan when those assumptions seem to result in negative outcomes. Maybe Thea is an MBA. Maybe she is on the Board of a dozen Fortune 500 companies, but she ...

Re: New Chairperson - Thea Bristow
This is all a little bizarre. From reading the piece on the OS it doesn't sound like Mrs Bristow has any board room knowledge, save what she has gained from being in our board room, let alone any previous experience of chairing a board of directors. If this was a sudden decision from Simon Baker to ...

Re: New Chairperson
What about Mr Phillips? probably the worst director we have ever had! I couldnt even name any others on the board! They are so out of touch with the fans i wouldnt be sad to Baker/phillips go According to the OS, the directors are: Simon Baker - Chairman Cris Boyce Mark Boyce Thea Bristow Tony Cart...

Re: Torquay United v Bradford City - 1/4/13
This is exactly what we need. We are grown ups and should be able to sort this crap out. Better that than something awful is said and the club gets fined - or worse.austrianandygull wrote:some kind of self policing terrace culture

Re: Torquay United v York City 23/3/13
In my opinion, poke was rushing out so this decision for a red card was a very tight one. Cruise did intentionally push him over but it all depends if cruise was "the 2nd last defender" as its officially known. (poke being classed as the last defender). If he was deemed to be then there i...

Re: Torquay United v York City 23/3/13
Denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity, red card.
It did appear to be just very clumsy from Cruise, Hopefully the disciplinary panel will take this in to account and see there was no malice and only give a one game ban.

Re: Any update on Lingy?
Its good news that Ling is not suffering from a serious illness then. Whether his problem is drink/stress related will we ever really know the truth? However do we really want him back? - he will be living away from his family doing a job which is extremely stressful. He might be back in May but Kn...

Re: Time for us To Do our Bit
It really is up to us now. We have seen in the last two away games that the players have the fight in them, but we have seen in recent home games that fans getting on players backs only makes them play worse. If we want to stay up we have to get behind the players and support them. If we are yelling...

Re: Tom cruise
Welcome back Matt Thanks for the support I was talking to Tom at the last home game and the lad is getting extremely frustrated at his lack of opportunities. He said " this time a year ago I was marking Theo Walcott in training and doing well against him now I'm marking Niall Thompson" ho...
