PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?

I know it's not always the best page (and you may get some people with differing views to fans...), but is it worth a mention on the Spotted Torquay Facebook page so more people can be aware of the impending meeting etc?

That implies that TUST has ever been awake :) (joke!)

Forest Green v Torquay new years day 2017

Actualy i also noticed that United have a great big advertising hoarding beside the new Bypass facing you are you leave it on the entrance effectively to Torquay. It based in the field just beyond the roundabout where you either turn left for Kingskerswell or right for the Willows and the rest of T...

Club Ownership

My thoughts are that only 2 kind of people would be interested in a club like TUFC, either a loony lottery winner with money to burn and no interest in making a profit - or a corporation looking at making a fast buck in return as an 'investment' is never going to show a profit. Onwards and upwards ...

There is quite a lot "For Sale/To Let" in Torbay at the moment

forever, I agree. I'm no expert either, but if the Council want to sell I'd imagine it can all be sorted out in their favour, covenants or not. What I was getting at in the first post is that because basically everything else is up for grabs in Torbay, then surely Plainmoor is too.

There is quite a lot "For Sale/To Let" in Torbay at the moment

I was talking with a friend last night about Torquay Utd, Plainmoor, GI, etc and he pointed me towards the InvestInTorbay website. Having a look on there is quite interesting as even things like the shelters on Paignton seafront are available to let as a development opportunity - the PDF says "...

Brace yourselves

Surely if the Council hold on to Plainmoor he can't do much though, can he, or am I missing something? Shall we all just calm down a bit and see what he actually does with TUFC in the coming weeks/months? Or deep down do we think the council will flog Plainmoor off to him?

Brace yourselves

As someone pointed out somewhere else, all the people who don't read the forums will have virtually no idea of what is going on behind the scenes. The TUFC Facebook page is going on about Junior Gulls and other stuff, and getting a like or two. And all this other stuff is going on behind the scenes ...

FA Trophy First Round, Braintree Town v Torquay United, Sat. 10 December 2016

It's the complete lack of balanced opinion and awareness of the clubs situation that gets me. I've said before, Nico has done a long way from a perfect job but he's doing a bloody good job with the tools at his disposal. Alluding to the post above about Lathrope, LRT etc. Have you thought that they...

Dagenham v Torquay 29/11/16

There are loads of people on his Facebook and elsewhere who have been saying he isn't up to the job and should be sacked. Also, people questioning his bringing in of certain players, tactics, and all sorts of other things, with a certain air that implies that they know what they're talking about but...

Dagenham v Torquay 29/11/16

Is it the nature more of football fans compared with other sports fans? I.E., if you are an F1 fan and your team/driver has a bad race, do you write them off and presume the management don't know what they're doing? Also, when at races, all the fans are in there together (Ferrari, Williams, etc etc)...

wivel, it must be the number of people who are actually in the ground? When I go in with the season ticket, the chap at the gate just makes a note on a piece of paper that I've entered, and I assume someone then totals up all of the people who have entered with their season ticket from all the gates...
