If you were the gaffer....
also i would give about 1500 ticktes to local schools. the kids will eat loads (spending money) it will introduce a new generation to tufc and it will put bums on seats which would be empty. EddUK - why do you hate children? Why would you punish 1500 kids by making them watch the current Torquay Ut...

Relegation could almost be a blessing in disguise for the club. It could legitimately be argued that saving the club from the dreaded drop was an impossible task for Chris Hargreaves, and when we see his retained list we will have a much clearer indication of his prowess as a manager. What should h...

I haven't enjoyed ANY football from a Torquay side since Buckle left. If we look at the bigger picture it might not be worst case scenario. Now come on, Andy - you haven't forgotten the days of Eunan O'Kane and Bobby Olejnik already, have you ?? Glostergull - we joined the league in 1927 according ...

Friendlygas - your Accrington pre-match post was spot on - the longer the game remained at 0 - 0, the more likely it was that Accy would grab a winner (or words to that effect). A win on Tuesday night against Burton would give us hope of course, but Chris Hargreaves has got to somehow inject more co...

Agree in principle with what you're saying Andy, but it DOES matter. There is a certain status of being in the Football League as opposed to 'Non-League' football. Apart from the debacle of the Roberts season, TUFC has been in the football league for over a century. Last time we went through the tra...

That's the beauty of this Forum - you learn sooooo much. I never knew before today that a camel's arsehole was slow ..........brucie wrote: Accrington had George Boogerman and the seventies porn star lookalike up front today. Both players were slower than a camels arsehole.

Torquay United without Mansell
Lee Mansell has been a great player for Torquay United for many seasons - a good professional on and off the pitch. I find some of the postings on this thread highly objectionable. However, Mansell has struggled this season in a struggling team and no longer merits an automatic selection. I think he...

Thanks Ferrarilover for your anticipated response. As stated in my original post, some of you may shoot me down in flames. Well, I have been put to the matt and brucie firing squad! Anyway, not to be put off, I'll try again. The point of the post was to say that despite how bad things appear, we ca...

Tomogull, not criticising what you are saying but you say Pokey kept us in the game up to half time. Pokey was only doing the job he is being paid to do. If the other 10 players, on the pitch, did theirs, we would not be in this dire situation. Yes-totally agree. Poke did the job he's paid to do - ...

I Hope You Stay Up
No I'm not, always enjoy a trip to Plainmoor and don't really like seeing you suffer. Only one team I enjoy suffering and that's the Greeks up the road. Na, seriously hope you'll be alright! (I know it's not very helpful but even so) Thanks Derriford. There is now a five point gap between us and sa...

Michael Poke (surprised nobody has included him up to now - he kept us in the game in the first half)
Krystian Pearce
Shamir Goodwin (looked as if he wanted to win)
Jordan Chappell
and ....... now I'm struggling ......
Anthony O'Connor (not one of his best games but he never stopped battling)

We Will Survive My Prediction.
I have done Portugull's prediction exercise and have got to a total of 53 points - 5 wins, 9 draws, 2 defeats. But as Forever has pointed out, we tend to look through rose tinted glasses when predicting results. I suspect Robiberto's 52 points is the best we can hope for. 16 games to go ...... it's...
