Re: If you were knill

To agree with Scott, 33 is in now way old! Even for a footballer, most can manage until they are 34 or 5.
Wasn't is last summer when Nicho came back for training 'fitter than he's ever been'?

Re: If you were knill

I think it would be rough on Macdonald to bring a new face in to start, he has done nothing wrong to suggest he shouldn't get the spot. As for the bench, If we have time/resources after getting a striker in then yes, get a centre half to sit on the bench. Otherwise, Oastler can play centre-half and ...

Re: A Turning Point?

A turning point? Maybe, as Andy say, we need to see the next 1 or 2 results to know that. There are lots of positives though, the main one being that we came out after the break and played better, the performance in the second half was an improvement and they kept going until the final whistle. I ca...

Re: too late for a new striker for tonight??

I think any new players need to be registered by mid-day on the day before a match, or 24 hours before. Either way it's too late fr tonight.
Hopefully we might pick someone up on the way though, may find some random player in the services...

Re: Dagenham & Redbridge v Torquay United - 12/3/13

Do you seriously think a team including Labadie/Craig in central midfield and Macklin and Cruise will bring about any improvement. Its a bit like trying to solve the rubiks cube by piecing together a quantity of dried turds - the quality just isn't there. Personally I would go one up front - 4-4-2 ...

Re: Dagenham & Redbridge v Torquay United - 12/3/13

No more messing about. We need to try to win every game now. I want to see 4-4-2 Poke Leadbitter Saah Downes Cruise Macklin Craig Labadie Bodin Howe Benyon Rice, Macdonald, Oastler, Lathrope, Morris, Thompson, Jarvis Then see how we're doing at half-time, maybe bring on Jarvo for Macklin later if we...

Re: Getting the crowd back on side

I think the only way to get the crowd back on side between now and the end of the season is to start with a more attacking line-up and try and score some goals. At least if we go down fighting people will have something to cheer about along the way. This consistent crap we are fed week in week out i...

Daniel Leadbitter

Does anyone know what Danny Leadbitter has done? Is he injured?
I'm baffled how a player widely credited with being the best in a Torquay shirt in the few games he started has suddenly been completely left out of the match squad.

Re: 11 Cup Finals

By the way, does anyone really know what would happen if Pompey dropped out of the League? Could this save us just like Stevenage's ground saved us all those years ago? If memory serves correctly the precedent is that one less team gets relegated from each tier of the pyramid with the same number o...

Re: Halpin / Baker /MacKenzie

Yes agreed - we have to many players who are not good enough and that has been the problem all season. I would actually only keep the following players from our squad and ditch the rest. Poke,Nicholson,Leadbitter,Saah,Downes.Mansell,Bodin,Howe,Jarvis and Yeoman. I think letting Mackenzie and Thomps...

Re: Joss Labadie

This might be a daft question but would Joss be likely to start on saturday and perhaps bring him off later in the second or the other way around do you reckon? In my opinion Knill should just stick him straight in there and suck it and see. Stick him straight in. He's not been signed as injury cov...

Re: Joss Labadie

Centre midfielder? Well Nathan Craig may as well be looking for another club, what a waste not playing him. He could easily play the 'attacking role' in the centre of midfield, he's our best player at the club! Seems ridiculous that we've loaned an attacking CM when we have a top class one already....

Re: Joss Labadie

Looks like the perfect Torquay Player. A young lad who's been around a bit, has been released more times than a 22 year old should and has previously been accused of having a bad attitude (Shrewsbury). Hopefully another one who'll come to South Devon, settle down and flourish in the sun...

Re: Joss Labadie

Be a cracking signing, midfield enforcer sort of role. Hope it does come off. God I hope not, we already have three of those! Someone to get forward and support the attack is what we need. A bit surprised though that Morris and Craig havn't been given the opportunity. I guess this guy sounds like a...
