Should the club sack Alan Knill?
Harding, Cameron and Hawley. All conference or even conference south std. All signed by Knill, if it is to be believed (and Im struggling with beleiveing it) that Hawley is on 50k a year, then you could assume that the other 2 are there abouts too. If thats the case thats 150k a year on Knills judge...

Knill will have to be sacked one day either now or in the future. Otherwise he has got a job for life.
Why would he ever resign when he can get sacked and receive a one year pay off.

I didn't hear the later bit.
Obviously doesn't want a "difficult" challenge then.

Should the club sack Alan Knill?
Your correct Hector no footballing reason at all could be argued. It must be financial. And maybe of course its worse than we are aware of. But even if it is. The point is these rolling contracts are unaffordable to a club like Torquay. All these managers in the end are "finger in the air"...

Should the club sack Alan Knill?
This is the ideal time to change the manager if you are going to do it! 2 week break, get someone in before the Xmas games. But no news so I'm getting the feeling it isn't going to happen. So if it doesn't happen NOW we have probably got him for a very very long time. Because I reiterate, we definit...

It was beween 8 and 8.15 this morning. Lives in cornwall as we all know. He was asked by alan Brazil if he could be persuaded to come back into management. He said he is enjoying the media work but could be persuaded to say take over a struggling team near the bottom until the end of the season as a...

So how do we start to get back on track??
I think any professional manager with league experience would probably be expensive and hopeful wanna bes will be cheap. And given the news that some poor players are pi n 50k a week it still won't be "cheap". I still can't believe those wages actually, but if true affects my view on playe...

I agree Bruce, he was near the bottom of the manager table a few weeks ago if I remember, he must be bottom now. Given everything into consideration its appalling. Do you think anyone on here would have done a worse job, when you think of the stats it would be hard to do worse.

Firstly I want to add that I agree with many on here and that I would like to see the back of our current manager a.s.a.p Down the years I rarely have blamed managers for the times our team have been performing badly, there have been many teams we have produced where I have felt its the players tha...

If we can't afford to sack him now, he has a job for life. Ridiculous! He's done well out of us, good money, will get a years salary for doing nothing. There is one last chance to try and save us. If he is not sacked now we should boycott the next game to force the board to get rid. I know this does...

I would be surprised if this is true, I don't know how the tax system works on fixed contracts but a £50000 salary equates to £691.60 per week according to http://www.uktaxcalculators.co.uk/ . I would expect a player of his age with the teams he's played for previously to be on more to be honest. I...

It was good to see that Thea has made the announcment that "She is here for the loang haul". For me I needed that assurance as I've read so much stuff on forums in the last few weeks that wasnt overly positive about our clubs future. And its good to see that they are seeking more directors...

Torquay United v Plymouth Argyle - 26/11/13
I didnt go last night so have read most of the reports from those who did. Blimey, I still dont know how we played, other than the consensus is that we were a bit better than usual this season. From we should have won by 2 or 3 to it was a fair result. Also a number of players seems to get good and ...
