Re: Harsh Caregivers

I seriously wouldn't be keen on either. Hargreaves was a fantastic captain but he has no managerial experience and next season we need somebody who can bring in decent players and hold the ship together in what is going to be a very tough League 2. Trollope may appear to the uninitiated to have done...

Re: Goodbye Tomlin

Personally I thought Tomlin did ok yesterday. He seemed to be the only forward to who could kill the dead when it came to him. Zeb and Kee's first touch was awful on a number of occasions and indeed when Kee went through on his own in the second half, it was his poor first touch that pushed the ball...

Re: My experience buying a ticket for saturday

I've also been down to buy my tickets today. After making the mistake of going to the club shop first, I found the sales point for the Shrewsbury tickets and got one without any fuss. I was then directed back to the main reception for my season ticket. The season ticket purchase was a lot more chall...

Re: So who's going to Rotherham then?

I'd love to be going but we booked to go to Thorpe Park months ago so I'll have to keep Sky Score Centre running on the mobile whilst enjoying Stealth :)

Hopefully I'll be alright for the playoffs.

Re: Season Tickets 2011/2012

I'll be getting one for next year after having to take a year out. It's much easier to make one payment up front than try to find the £25+ every other week for entry, food and drink. I've been watching the "Season Ticket" page for a few weeks now expecting some form of announcement ...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Chesterfield

I must admit I'm basing my thoughts on our recent performances without looking at who our rivals are playing over the next two games. Perhaps my pessimism is a tad hasty. I'd rather Buckle said nothing this week though and stopped building up my hopes ;-) I can't get to the Rotherham game (Wife orga...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Chesterfield

gods sake burnham we are still in threre fighting and we will be in playoffs next weekend Maybe, but we've drawn our last four games and we keep reading from Buckle how the team are "gonna give it a right go"..........maybe "us giving it a go" isn't good enough. We should be ver...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Chesterfield

Four draws in our last four games is not promotion form and I think we've dried up at the worst possible stage of the season. I don't expect the other teams to fall over tomorrow so we'll probably have to accept we'll have two derby games next season against Argyle.........unless they perform a mira...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Chesterfield

How many chances has Branston had? I'm watching the "commentary" on the mobile via Sky Sports Score centre and he's 3-4 chances???

Come on boys we need a win here to give us some breathing space tomorrow. A draw isn't good enough IMO.

Re: League 2: Burton Albion vs Torquay United

Now we're just being bitter. We screwed up our administration and have to accept our punishment. It could have been a lot worse don't forget. Hereford were going to appeal as their punishment was worse. We've dropped six points in our last three games and have nobody else to blame but ourselves. Nex...

Re: League 2: Burton Albion vs Torquay United

Yep, I agree with Yellow4life, I think we could have just blown our chances.

Unfortunately Branno put the kiss of death on it by saying howwe're "the team to beat"......famous last words!

Dropped points against Port Vale and especially Wycombe have crippled us.

Re: Can we afford to be promoted?

Where's the ambition gone? If you get promoted, you raise the profile of the club, get more income potentially and have a "bigger" club to be proud of. If we all worry about whether we can afford to go up, we might as well pack up and choose a premiership team to follow. Do you think Black...
