Re: Money no object...

I'm sorry I thought we were talking about signing players on their playing ability not on how nice they are to their mothers or pets. I think Drogba (as a player) is much over rated by Chelsea fans and I personally think there are much better strikers / players out there. It says it all when even C...

Coming down to Torquay on friday and will be out on it friday night, wheres the best places to go?

As for the game, we are rubbish, you will do us at least 3-0.
Love that optimism :)

Also love that you're coming down even though you expect to get turned over.

Re: Fifa 11

I really dislike football games. I'd rather go and actually play football. The last game I really enjoyed was Sensible Soccer, which was awesome.

I also have a bit of a problem with how these games are remade every year with very few improvements but they still want to charge you the full price.

Re: Money no object...

I cannot stand the bloke. I would sign Gerrard, I think he is better suited for English football and will bring something to the team with regards to morale. Also it would mean TUFC would get International breaks LOL You can't stand Didier Drogba, a guy who has set up a charitable foundation to hel...

Re: Attendances

the thing is happytorq, you can pay up to £20 to go in at barnet, and northampton as said above with an average gate 4855,you pay up to £19 to go in. whilst £16 may seem steep,it is compared to other league 2 sides a very competative price. Hey - I'm sure that we're probably in l...

Re: John Hartson

They have appointed the U17,U19 and U21 boss(Brian Flynn) to be their caretaker manger throughout the euro qualifiers- Shame he wasn't made assistant manager at least. Why is it a shame, though? Hartson has no experience of management at all. I'm not sure why ex-players seem to assume they can just...

I'd sign myself, just so I could get to play :)

And I'd be really cheap, too.

Re: rickl - A Norway Gull

Hey, do you guys still stay in Belgrave Road when you come over? I used to live on that street myself.

I always thought it was cool that we had a Norwegian fan club.

Re: Attendances

Have to say that £16 is a bit steep for 4th level football. (I paid less than that at New York Red Bulls the other day, and I got to meet Thierry Henry and ride the train back into the city with him. Good guy) But more than that, it's that same old story of apathy in the Bay.Our away support ...

Re: Billy Kee and Eunan O'Kane

For what it's worth, I seem to remember people saying that Benyon was too lightweight, or "just a non-league player". I say give both of these players a chance; assuming Benyon is out of the next game, it woulds seem a good place to give Kee another start...Gritton was by most account pret...

Re: Stevenage vs Torquay - 18th September

I have absolutely no idea who is going to win, I have no idea how we'll play, and I have no idea what the table will look like on saturday evening.

And this is why I love lower league football! :P

Also, are you going to limit this to people who only went to the games? bc that's impractical; how are you going to prove it?

Re: Torquayfans.com Player of the season award

Not a bad idea, but could we come up with a better prize than a bottle of plonk from Sainsbury's? It just screams "Crap, we couldn't think of what else to give", plus these are professional athletes so I'm not sure we want to be encouraging them to drink. Get them some kind of trophy to ke...
