Assistant manager?

I agree with a lot of what is being said above. Gaining promotion will only be a small step on the way to Owers rehabilitation. To truly prove himself worthy of the job he has to turn the team into a competitive force in the NLP. Now I know it is too soon to draw any conclusions, but whilst this par...

Torquay United v East Thurrock United 11/08/18

There are no 4th officials at this level. You are right about the guy who walks around with Gilbert, it's former local ref Mike Griffiths, he performed the same duties on Tuesday.

Devon Live - Jim Parker

'Nail on the Head', Portugull. IF the project ever gets past the drawing board/back of an envelope, it doesn't need Mystic Meg to predict future headlines - 'New stadium beset by unforeseen difficulties'. I did not know that a sports ground had been tried there before, and was abandoned because of ...

TUFC Fans offered free ticket...to Truro game!

According to the Non League Paper it was 362. I do not think this included about 400 United Season Tickets holders in the Bench who got in free of charge. Billericay took 62 fans to the game. According to the Cornish Football Forum just 20 Truro fans used the subsidised coach up to Devon and a furt...

Chelmsford City Vs Torquay United - 4/8/18

You put Regis in your top five (possibly rated him second best player) so he must of have had a good game. Why knock him down a point simply because he didn't want to come off?

Regis - 6/10 - I think Regis looked great, can move, has presence and can pass, would have got a 7 but when he was subbed he looked pissed off and I can't help but think of all the stories lurking about him. A lot of players look pissed off when they're subbed. Surely all that matters is their time...

The temperature is going to play a big part in this one. Wouldn't be surprised at nil nil draw.

TUFC Fans offered free ticket...to Truro game!

I think I've seen a game at plainmoor without Torquay United but not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me. It would have been 1979, a testimonial match between a Jimmy Dunne XI and Bristol City. Bobby Moore and Alan Mullery were in the Jimmy Dunne XI.

Expectations for the forthcoming season in NLS

If level of support inside the stadium was a factor in the outcome of a match then that surely means our supporters have been grossly underperforming the last few seasons seeing how we outnumbered most of our opponents support. Its all about the players on the pitch. If the supporters could affect a...

Invite to Season Ticket Holders and Sponsors 31/7/18

Look up stadiarena dot com for the presentation that was shown on Tuesday by company that are supposed to be building the £40m stadium. Note they did build or is that design the Richo arena in Coventry but the most "similar" stadium is in India, cost £60m and only has a 4000 capacity indo...

Chelmsford City Vs Torquay United - 4/8/18

Going to be a tough game on Saturday, they have made several new additions and see this as an opportunity to take a gulls scalp as our new team has little playing experience as a unit. Surely if Chelmsford have several new additions then they too have little playing experience as a unit. Therefore ...

BBC Pull Commentary of Torquay Games

Referring to BBC Worcestershire broadcasting Hereford's games and BBC Devon not airing ours; Hereford are on an upward trajectory, we are not, and we may soon find ourselves on a par with the likes of Hungerford with sub-1000 crowds. Just because we have a league past and a larger ground than most a...
