Re: Torquay United v Dagenham & Redbridge - 1/12/12

And that's why we can't afford to sign anyone else. I thought about driving down but the w/e would cost near £100 so I can't warrant that before Xmas. I guess there are many in my position. A lot of working age people move away for obvious reasons.

Re: Ling and his comments - another clanger?

The so called fans in Bristows bench having a go at Long recently have been doing it for years to every manager we've had. I used to stand in front of them and they pissed me off every game to the point it was ruining my enjoyment. For me L2 is poor all the way through it. But every team and fan of ...

Gave them no hope today, thats football eh!

Well done to all concerend, and without Manse, Morris, Lathrope and Macklin, interesting!

Got to keep the attacking formation going unless it really goes pop.

Re: Torquay United v Southend United - 17/11/12

Just got in. I'm usually a positive poster, but not this eve. That was dire. Nicco had an absolute mare. I didn't see any urgency, belief or a will to win. The best word I can use is lethargic. Southend were bright, keen, quick and sharp, exactly what we werent. Its going to be a long, tough winter ...

Re: Attitudes to the new reality.........

Football fans and hindsight. Who on here complained about Atieno leaving and Jarvis replacing him. mmmm..... from the posts it seems that Jarvis is now not a league 2 player. Hindsight hindsight, Martin Ling doesnt have that convenience, he has to make decisions each day as he sees it. i could say o...

Re: Attitudes to the new reality.........

Totally agree with this post. All the time I'm seeing we need another quality striker, or another midfielder, Gee, who's fecking paying for it then. Remember back to the Bateson days, this club actually as a number of strikers now, we used to have 2, and that was it. Actually Barnet are a good refer...

Re: Torquay United v Accrington Stanley - 13/10/12

Just back. Should have scored a handful at least today, lost count of the one on ones, and we had many other chances. For me Howe was excellent again although he missed some sitters. A good performance, Accrington were surprisingly poor, but that doesn't mean I'm diminishing our performance at all. ...

Re: wycombe wanderers v torquay united - 6/10/12 league two

Just got back and like previous posters glad I only had a 1hour drive. Plus points of the day. Lovely and sunny with great views of the surrounding countryside. Best burger I've had at a football game although it was £5. Friendly ground, the bar was good and a nice pint. Great view, what a differenc...

Re: 10 games in, what do you think?

Lost 1 out of 10, that is good for me, satisfied with that. Mmmm.... Im not so optimistic though, I think we will finish about where we are now. We had a good run of results last year that improved our position, and i doubt we wil repeat that, but heh "Footballs a funny game" so who the he...

Re: £5 adults / £1 kids@ Wycombe on Saturday

I thought this was not allowed? Away fans can not be charged more than home fans?

Didnt we fall foul of this a few years ago?
