Torquayunited v Guiseley 24/3/18
My garden in St Marychurch is under about a millimetre of water so it is no surprise the game has been called off. There is so much misty rain in the air that people walking passed my front window are contemplating putting their hoods up. It is conceivable that with a couple more timely postponement...

Maidstone v Torquayunited 10/3/18
The worrying aspect to that is he may get the job. Or the current General Manager may sit on him. Either way, Gerald is staying where he is.

Like Mr Osborne. my garden gnome knows nothing about football.....but he is a bit more tactically aware than our current management and probably more mobile than one or two of the players.

Can we Survive. Review of Remaining Fixtures
No reason why we can't win all eleven games and be safe....... apart from the lack of talent, desire and sheer bloodymindedness not to be beaten on the pitch. Factor in the apparent lack of ability to motivate from the dugout.....And don't forget the couldn't care less attitude of the absentee owner...

Torquay United v Dagenham and Redbridge - Matchday thread - 17/02/18
Surely not three wins in a row? Hoping for a 3-0 win, with Brett Williams filling the onion bag. Will settle for a hugely deflected winner if it nets three points.

Torquay United v Barrow 3/2/18
Well that was an improvement. Defence looked solid. Midfield passed the ball well. Forward line looked like they could score. Three well taken goals. Brett Williams effort, well saved by Barrow keeper, would have been a contender for Goal of the Season.. It's the hope that kills ! Oh for the Greates...

Romain and Williams up front together?....We may score. About time there was another rousing, give us a glimmer of hope performance before reality kicks in again. Torquay to win 3-0. How's that for mindless optimism!!

Torquay United v Bromley 20/1/18
Earlier in the season when hope was still springing eternal, former Gull Brett Williams scored a hat trick as our chaps lost 3-1. Fast forward to January and the door to the last chance saloon is starting to shut. Straws are there to be clutched at.....last season we beat Bromley at home. William Hi...

Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)
First 15 minutes....Gosling put free header over. Eastleigh scored with first attack, keeper looked slow to get down. Weathered a storm of corners. Rest of half the new players began to gel, Luke Young equalised with a fine placed shot into the corner. Thought we may have had a penalty for handball....

New signings to kickstart Torquay's season.....or another lunge towards Conference South? Going for a wildly optimistic 1-0 home win, weather permitting.

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18
Although Wrexham were unimpressive at Plainmoor earlier in the season I was amazed that they are on offer at Evens to win tomorrow's match. Even my ever 'Glass half full ' outlook cannot see anything other than a resounding Wrexham win.
