Re: why did PB never really get the...
Robertson wasn't his signing either. I actually think some good players were signed during his reign, I'm not sure he could take all the credit for them though and neither can he be blamed for some of the poor ones. When he was free of the constraints of having to deal with our ex CEO I felt he star...

Re: ITV Westcountry - Buckle
Holidays? Time to make arrangements, there could be a number of reasons, Rich. All the messages I'm getting are pointing to it being firmly under control.

Re: ITV Westcountry - Buckle
Some good points denspad, one thing I should add in support of the Board is that by allowing Buckle to accpet the job early, it gave them plenty of time to make the arrangements for a replacement and take onboard his own wishlist. This might not be mentioned publicly but it makes perfect sense to me.

Re: Players
Branston was outstanding when he was here but I cannot help feeling we have had the best season that anyone is going to get out of him. Not sour grapes at all but there is no guarantee that going to another club (assuming he is going) he is going to replicate the form he showed at Torquay. He is no...

Re: why did PB never really get the...
What is the story with him and RL...also with Bayes...why won't anyone let on??? The story goes that he had an affair with Mrs Bayes while they were at the same club together and left his wife when he started seeing Rebecca, to be honest it's not something I want to talk about in any more detail, h...

Re: Support For TorquayFans.com . . .
I enjoyed it, brilliant time in the pub even though those prices were extortionate, just refused to let the performance put a downer on things.

Re: Support For TorquayFans.com . . .
In fairness, I like to see it shared around, there have been so many really fantastic posts recently and any number are deserving of the nomination. Brady (regiment) was my choice because he's put up some fine ones and been honest and detailed with them as well as being humble. Tommyg has done the s...

Re: Support For TorquayFans.com . . .
Well I'm going to shut it now because I just realised I've gone over your post count and two of us talking shit is no good for anyone  It has been great though, reading all the contributions from different people. EDIT: I've just noticed almost 10% of your posts are on the word association thre...

Re: why did PB never really get the...
I always liked him and always supported him, even to the point of ridicule on the "old" site (pre crash). However, the way that he went about leaving (and totally lying about it to us) leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. It is difficult to "like" somebody after the way they ...

Re: MESSAGE TO SIMON BAKER
Lol, Dave, I was just pulling everybody's leg. I know how it is - if you'd heard that Person X was getting the job and you posted as much, and then it wasn't him, you'd be pilloried. I just feel really isolated over here. When are we going to do a Man Utd and have a U.S. Tour? :) I figured you prob...

Re: MESSAGE TO SIMON BAKER
I think it's very unfair that I'm not "in-the-know" and have to make do with allusions made by some of the more informed posters on here. (Yes, SG, I'm looking at you!) I demand that the club tell me everything that is going on; i need to know the people in the frame for the manager's gig...

Re: MESSAGE TO SIMON BAKER
Southampton you obviously know something. Branston and Stanley are crucial for next season. Feel a little more hopeful after reading your post. I wouldn't say they were crucial at all. Good players yes, did fantastic jobs for us yes, but hardly crucial. The new man will have his targets, I'm sure t...
