Re: We are going to have to score a lot of goals!!

He's a strange case, even when pointing out his shortcomings myself I still feel like I want to stand up for him. I guess it's like that for a lot of people, we all want to see him do well. I think having a new Manager has saved him and given him another chance to impress, it's just that my view on ...

Re: We are going to have to score a lot of goals!!

The thing is Andy, he can actually do it, I've seen him do it. It just happens so rarely that you're willing him to create something and he just ends up makin you feel like nutting the fan in front of you. Ok, maybe not quite but "frustrating" is the word that describes him best of all. I'...

Re: Early thoughts..

You did actually say that from Day 1 Kee and Howe cant play together though. I happen to think that they play very well together and their link-up play is superb to watch, both strong, both with skill to burn and both with an eye for goal. What they do need however, is the ball played into their fee...

Re: We are going to have to score a lot of goals!!

I watch Danny go on runs in almost every game I see him play, the most frustrating thing though is that for all the excitement he creates as he starts running it's not long before you sigh at yet another wasted opportunity. Chris B, if he did as you say he did I'd be more than happy to talk about it...

Re: Torquay United v Burton Albion - League 2 - 06/08/11

Just seen them myself and can't really blame Oastler, for the first he was never able to get into a position to make a challenge due to the speed of Richards and I still feel Olejnik should have done better for the second.

Re: We are going to have to score a lot of goals!!

Stevens was awful, barely made one successful forward pass and in the whole of the game he made one tackle and the ball rebounded to a Burton player. Exactly what did he contribute to warrant you saying he didn't have a bad game?

Re: We are going to have to score a lot of goals!!

I think the defence will only get better. Early days yet so plenty of time to bring it up to scratch and in Shaun Taylor we have the ideal person coaching them into a cohesive unit. They were poor as a group today but I'm not overly concerned.

Re: Tickets for Saturday

I should think so. I suspect that tickets will be available on the night though that isn't confirmed yet which is silly really, it's a game where lots of exiles will go and might not trust the club to get their tickets sent, thus reducing the crowd still further. It would be much better to make an a...

Re: Tickets for Saturday

Got to the ground, bought my tickets, relaxed in Boots for a couple of hours watching the televised game and walked straight into the Pop after, no problem. I was given £5 too much change, handed it back straight away, better get the girls a calculator with it :)

Re: Man of the Match - Burton

All that was good about us today went through Eunan, I just rate him so highly. When he leaves, I just hope we get what he's really worth, most potential I've seen wear our shirt for a long long time. I better delete these posts later just so we dont annoy Gulliball ;-)

Re: Early thoughts..

I put this on the matchday thread but I guess my comments are suitable for here. Olly: Well, he is certainly a good shot-stopper and his handling is superb. I think he was at fault for the second goal and was too slow to react to the attacker in front of him. He also made Robertson look bad a couple...

Re: Torquay United v Burton Albion - League 2 - 06/08/11

Great first report Danny and excellent as usual from Jeff. I want to do a player review based on my view from the away end of the Popside. Olly: Well, he is certainly a good shot-stopper and his handling is superb. I think he was at fault for the second goal and was too slow to react to the attacker...
