Dover.v.Torquay Tue 2nd
To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. We threw the points away. Simple as that. Dovers ground was pretty good, decent bar faculties, certainly one of the nicer away trips. First half I thought we were brilliant. We passed the ball around and Dover couldn't cope. It was perhaps the best half I'...

Away Support
I normally go to more away games than home games and I much prefer the atmosphere at away games. I mean two that stick in my mind were Portsmouth last season and our trip to Buckle's Rovers. I don't think I've ever experienced an atmosphere like that at Plainmoor ever. Same goes for the play-off for...

FA CUP
Am actually looking forward to this. Not only because it's a local game for me, but we finally get to play Aldershot away on a saturday. I know we normally take good numbers on a cold tuesday night, so I hope the fans turn out for this one, we can make a great noise in the away end and hopefully end...

Is Hargreaves fit for purpose?
Would I rather have Chris Hargreaves as manager now or Alan Knill? I know who I would rather have. One is fit for purpose, the other isn't.

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014
Putting money on Hawley to score today.
On paper it's a game we should win, but then It was the same with Telford. Don't think it will be a walk in the park but hopefully we'll come away with the win.
2-1 Torquay.

FA Trophy
I'm in two minds over the Trophy. Yes, it would be great to see Torquay play at Wembley again and to see Torquay win a trophy would be fantastic, plus we could do with some extra money coming in. However, if we are in a position where we are challenging for promotion, the main priority for me will a...

What's this crap of radio Devon switching to the plymouth game from time to time? If I wanted to listen to plymouth, I would listen to the plymouth commo.
Is this a ploy to get people to buy Gullsplayer?

Forest Green Rovers v Torquay United – Tuesday 30th Sept
Take the ups with the downs. Still in the top 5 (much higher than I thought we would be) but the discipline needs to improve big time. It's costing us points and now two more players are out for saturday.

Dartford v Torquay United – Saturday 23rd August 2014 – 3pm
What that was was 2 very very poor teams. 90 minutes I will want to forget in a hurry. Once again all the opposition had to do was fall over and the referee would instantly give the free kick. Loved the ground, hated the non segregation, if you don't like what we're singing, too bad. If you don't wa...

Matchday thread: Torquay United v Southport – 16th August
Southport have been looking for a red card since the 1st whistle. Does t excuse how stupid Bowman was. You go in for a Headbutt, you deserve to be off.
Good thing Southport are sh*t, they've done naff all since.

Opening Day Conference Attendances
I think there will be just under 2000 there. If this game was played a few months later on a Champions League night, then I think it would be nearer the 1500 mark.
Hopefully the Gateshead result won't put off too many people, I mean after all,'it's our second game of the season.

The Gulls v Welling (Home) 12/08/2014
After a few days to reflect, I'm not going to press the panic button after one game. Briscoe's goal was well worked and I doubt we will face much better teams than Gateshead. That being said, I certainly will not underestimate Welling, or any other team we face. If welling come and attack us, with o...

The Gulls v Gateshead (away) 9 August 2014
I'm pretty sure everyone at Torquay United will not be ignorant regarding how difficult this division will be. Gateshead will prove stern opponents. I'd be quite happy a draw from this quite honestly. Doing the journey from Littlehampton to Gateshead in a day so hopefully the performance & resul...

New kits revealed
I'm actually think the away kit is much better than the home kit. I was going to go for the 3rd kit but I think the away kit will be my choice.
