Best Ever Day?

The most exciting and nerve wracking game was the 2-1 away to Carlisle April 2006 and I've been supporting the Gulls since 1962. Never have I more wanted a whistle to sound the end of the game. Can see Kevin and Joeys first half goals now, as clear as day. The second half we couldn't get out of the ...

Woking FC v Torquay United 6/4/19

Sounds if it was not too bad.

Yeh I knew that you and him have plenty of banter. Good to see positive and humorous stuff these days. Keep up the good work Dave.

Thought Southampton Gull was a tad harsh on you there Stefano. After all, we are the sages of this forum. I said Woking would wilt, you said Woking would wobble. Nuff said. 😆

A plea to TUFC fans at Woking on Saturday

Torquay policemen were at Billericay. Incidentally who is the chap with the aluminium crutches who goes with the chanting fans and waves his crutches around all the time. With such a big crowd he has to be careful.

Torquay United v Chelmsford City - PP 2/4/19

For the record, we have equalled the number of league goals (83) in season 2007/08. We are close to beating the next highest which was in 1959/60 (84). Jamie Reid is the highest league goal scorer since Robin Stubbs (39) in season 1964/65.

Disabled facilities

Dear All, Just a quick update. In 5 days the £1500 target has been achieved. I have now raised it to £2500 as the time for receiving donations expires on the date of the run, 25th April. I reckon it is 122 times around the pitch for a marathon distance. I am going to do it anti-clockwise. So far hav...

Disabled facilities

Dear TorquayFans, I am trying to raise more money for the disabled who attend our matches. I have had excellent support from this forum in the past and I am hoping some of you may be interested in the latest effort. The away section still does not have a roof and the toilets are too small to allow a...

I agree with Brucie! I think Woking will wilt. Even if they don't and they win the league, we would be in pole position for the play offs. We have got our one rogue home game under Johnstone out of the way with the WSM defeat.

What it was REALLY like to be there (1965 Spurs game)

I was there against Spurs at the Babbacombe End, aged 11. We were at the front. The fence collapsed and me and Mike Griffiths, my class mate from Tweenaway, ended up on the pitch with all the others. The replay was on my 12th birthday the 13th January. A wasted trip. Because I bunked off school the ...

Culmstock Gull is right. Woking are an irrelevance. I have been saying for ages, and put it on BTPIR, that we are going to win this league, we are far too strong and Woking will blow up. The state of the pitch is also an irrelevance. Some our best football has been played on porridge surfaces, both ...

Yep, shame about Dartmouth YMRC, the football club went and so did the premises. The Seale Arms Dave is also closed. How about Dittisham, the richest club in Devon, what a pitch.

Torquay United v Truro City (Boxing Day)

My prediction is a 3-1 win. Further, over these next 11 days we are going to win all 4 home games getting 12 points and also scoring 12 goals. Remember where you heard it first.
