Management options

I think we have to be realistic. The main thing is a manager who can settle a sinking ship (which we are and anyone who says otherwise is in denial). This is done by showing loyalty to a club and also by contacts at clubs to help signings. A strong coaching background is also important in my eyes. ...

Meet Lingy!

Lingy was and looked very well, I even got him to sign my copy of Living on the Volcano by Michael Calvin, the first chapter of which was about him.
The score I believe, unless I'm mistaken, 8-2 to the Torquay old boys, unfortunately I am unable to tell you how much money was raised.

If GI fail getting the freehold...

If GI do fail in getting the freehold would they want a fast exit from TUFC? We know there are not the buyers if anything is to be taken from the most rescent sale attempt. If as I believe GI have already had to invest to keep the club going, in addition the original loan, would they in effect allo...

It wouldn't surprise me if Lincoln continue their journey under the Cowley brothers and win promotion to League One next season.

Developing players and squads

Apparently when Barry Hayles was at Truro, he used to train on his own in London during the week and only meet up with his teammates on match days.

If they (GI) want to engage with local people, then (Colin Lee) is the perfect person.

Geoff Harrop on his way back?

Regardless of his intentions, he's not somebody in the mould of someone like Michael Dunford, ie experienced football administrator.

Geoff Harrop on his way back?

One reservation I would have if became manager, and it's a pretty big one, would be his lack of experience at managing and coaching at senior level.
It would be a world of difference to anything that he would have been used to before.

PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?

Probably yes. That's exactly what they would do. But it depends on your view, my view is that someone or TUST would step in, maybe a Pheonix club but with a home at Plainmoor. But remember, even if TUST took control, it could be that the club is still for sale to an interested Football loving party...

A Midlands Consortium

The Midlands? Smurthwaite, Dean Edwards and GI are all Midlands based - Christ, it could be a consortium of them all! :( GI are based in Swindon, so therefore not Midlands and to the best of my knowledge Dean Edwards is still based in Torbay, but apparently was contemplating relocating home to Wolv...
