Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
Richard Taundry ...George Bowerman? ;-) I was surprised to see you'd released Bowerman, thought he was supposed to be highly rated? The beeb seemed to think so: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19970410 You could probably do with him back now that Grigg, Brandy and Paterson have all left! ;-)

Re: Bournemouth's Big PSF
I would love to have a massive foreign club playing at Plainmoor. If you want any opportunity to grab floating fans and Premiership fans, this is a perfect chance. I would put good money that by the end of the season, Bournemouth's average attendance will grow this year. Pretty safe bet as they've ...

Re: Has Alan Knill got his transfer strategy wrong?
So now it's turned around completely, and if we had signed some players already, half the board would actually see that as a bad thing? Because it would obviously mean those players were rubbish, and lacked options? That's not what I said. (Actually, looking back that is pretty much what I said. :O...

Re: Has Alan Knill got his transfer strategy wrong?
:goodpost: Matt is (as usual) spot on. Those already signed up are those who thought they may not get anything so took pretty much the first offer they received or those who have received an offer larger than they had hoped for from a club spending over the odds. (Or those going to Pompey - let's fa...

Re: Has Alan Knill got his transfer strategy wrong?
Benyon hasn't been the same player elsewhere as he was here. But perhaps circumstances have conspired against him a bit. We saw on his return here that due to lack of action elsewhere, it took him time to find some form. He never had a run of games anywhere else - be that at Swindon, Wycombe or Sou...

Re: Has Alan Knill got his transfer strategy wrong?
What I don't understand is why Benyon has not yet signed. It has been reported that he is very keen to return, & A.K. wants him to sign. Could it be that the wages he has been offered are unacceptable? Money is what persuaded Jarvis to sign for York, according to the media. I find it hard to be...

No, but they do play in the football league. :na:happytorq wrote:
Ok. First thing to say before my head explodes.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE "THE" WHEN DESCRIBING MLS!! (Jerry and Philgull!)
Torquay do not play in the league 2.
Anyway, thanks for the info. Is Cantona still involved?

Hi Andy,
Any chance of a quick update (and some pictures) on the progress at the training ground?

I'd forgotten Paul Smith!
One hell of a player who had his career cruelly cut short by injury.
