Re: Martin Ling

Yep that is what i was trying to say, any chance of some English lessons Brady, think i need some  And don't forget that it's simply not possible to get the preparation and tactics right at the start of every game. A manager cannot know for certain what tactics and team his opposite number wi...

Re: Geoff Harrop

if harrop gets offered a senior role with bucks he will be off up the M5 as quick as his little stumpy legs can carry him, 500 k house or not!!!-leaving wifey and her youth team goalie son to sell up and follow!!! Don't think so; Geoff knows when he's well off, and I suspect Martin Ling is the kind...

Re: the white pele

Billy is what Billy is. Even if he lost weight he won't have pace. What can happen is for him to sharpen up his "quickness" in ball control and ability to get a shot off on goal before the inevitable block/chargedown. I've lost count of how many shots he's had blocked and wondered if they...

Re: the white pele

Not so sure about that Gully, If Danny or Eunan get any lighter, we'll need to buy them some lead shoes to stop them floating off. Matt. I was referring to the intention to get the squad fully fit rather than simply lose weight, but occasionally I express myself badly! But you're right about Danny ...

Re: the white pele

I like Billy, he's a fun guy, (insert mushroom pizza topping joke of choice) and, having spoken to him, he does know that he is too heavy. He has said that he really struggles through the summer months, because he only has to think about nosh and he puts on the weight. He will get lighter throughou...

Re: Billy Kee and Eunan O'Kane

I dont think anybody in League 2 should ever cost more than £300k IMO. He does look like a good player judging by what I saw at The Mem last Saturday, We have a bit of cash in the kitty and we also recieved a decent amount from Wednesday for Chris Lines, so maybe we could make a move for him, but I...

There are far more pasty shops in Plymouth than here. Running from one to another should keep his weight down. Possibly. ;-)

Re: the white pele

If he needs more exercise and first-team runouts, perhaps he could go out on loan to Plymouth Argyle?
With a recall option, and a ban on him playing cup-ties for them, playing against the Gulls, etc..

Re: Every time we win a game....

We all appreciate the excellent work of the technical team. Many thanks.
And thanks for putting technical terms into more recondite language, though I'm still puzzled by 'double-posting'.
Is that derived from half a four-poster?

Re: Aldershot vs Torquay

I listened to the game and it did sound pretty poor from us!! It sounded like the defence was pretty solid all night although now i've seen the highlights i've got to say we were definitely helped out by their poor accuracy at times. In the commentary they said their keeper handled out of the box a...

The only term I really understand here is grass.

Re: Aldershot vs Torquay

If that was an ‘excellent game’ then I’m a Dutchman. In the first half, perhaps more than the second, Danny lacked control, gave the ball away cheaply, found his usual blind alleys, and his pass selection was poor. In the second half he started to be slightly more useful. That being said the ...

Re: Aldershot vs Torquay

This was my view last night; As for Danny Stevens who conceded possession too many times. It is surely time for Dinger to try an alternative. Didn’t Macklin have a good pre-season? Having mulled on a very unsatisfactory performance during the course of today I think I might be a touch harsh with ...
