Re: Notts County v Torquay United 12/10/19 3pm

Dont wish to put a downer on this but I can see a defeat, the last two games have been bottom of the table whom also scored twice and an out of form side who we nearly drew with. Our defence is poor, midfield ineffective and up front not getting the proper service. I am going for 3-0 nil defeat but...

Not for some time though! Obsorne predicts if we win promotion back to the Football League in the next few years, it will be at Plainmoor,

I love that man!

Clarke Osborne has given up on the idea of building a new stadium - I love that man!

Re: Ebbsfleet V Torquay United 8th October 2019

Unless my eyes deceive me, that's nearly 2 foot over the line ! Was it or was it not a goal is open to debate and opinion - but 2 foot over the line? what was the external force that made the ball rebound into the goalie hands 2 foot onto the field of play? One for the aerodynamic enthusiasts me th...

Re: Ebbsfleet V Torquay United 8th October 2019

A fairly comfortable and well deserved win. Should have been five as Vincent’s shot looked to be over the line. We are definitely play off contenders. There will be a lot of debate about this shot. Taking it frame by frame, I believe the correct decision was given - the whole of the ball did not cr...

As Oscar Wilde once said, “Criticism is the only reliable form of autobiography." It tells you more about the psychology of the critic than the player he or she criticises.

Early season apathy or is everyone on their hols.

Glad to see many supporters are a tad more realistic about where the club sit and in general how things are going. It took Alex Ferguson 7 years to win Man U's first Premier league trophy - Seven!- seven years to build a winning team, Yet here we are expecting GJ to win the National League in our fi...

TUST Updates

I have read and re read your August newsletter and perhaps not alone in being totally perplexed by the TUST's thought processes. It is apparent that the club wishes to support and communicate only with the alternative TUCST which is being re born as the emperors new clothes , model 2.0,and yet you ...

Torquay United v Harrogate Town 7/9/19

A little disappointed with the size of the crowd but not with the support which was good throughout. We should retrace the evolution in attendance figures over the last three seasons before we express to much disappointment.. Since the "Coffee-Gate' season of 2017/18 we have seen an increase i...

Torquay United v Harrogate Town 7/9/19

GJ said that after 10 games he would have a good idea who the settled first team players would be - I still have no idea. One day Kalala is not at the races and the next he plays like Messi. Cameron is solid but is being punished for his mistakes. Reid scores blinders and misses sitters. Spare a tho...

Torquay United v Harrogate Town 7/9/19

Time to stop planting seeds of doubt in the players minds and showing opposition too much respect. Sat see's us take on Harrogate who still relive a famous FA cup win in 2012. Famous because they beat 'The Gulls". I don't think Harrogate overachieved last season they have been building a sustai...

Ex-Gull watch

Alex Fletcher from Plymouth Argyle goes to Aldershot on a loan deal. Owers brought the highly rated striker to Plainmoor on loan two seasons ago started a game, then dropped to the bench with a sub appearance, then out of the squad completely. I think the view was too lightweight, no physical build ...

New Signings?

Think you will find Niate was out due to injury rather than being bombed out. The arrival of Cundy will give us a better indication of who will be first choice for centre half pairing. Keating I feel for - his work rate cannot be faulted - but the end product of being a natural goalscorer is just no...

Torquay United v Hartlepool United 31/8/19

Not sure why so many people seem to want Hall moved back to centre half? Has he ever played there before? What makes people think that playing him out of position would be an improvement on Niate (who has been better than Cameron in the last few games)? If you need to make room for CLE in midfield ...
