Torquay v Lincoln Sat. 3 Sept. (k.o. 5:30 pm) match thread
Just watched the highlights and although we had plenty of chances, Lincoln definitely put us under pressure in both halves. They are clearly a strong side that will be up there challenging based on last night but it was great that we went toe to toe with them for most of the game. Not the result we ...

New Share Issue In Torquay United F. C.
Let's be clear here. A share issue relating to ownership should not be confused with revenue raising schemes such as the player fund.

PERCEPTION AND REALITY
I personally can't see why it would cost anything to buy the club. All that would be needed would be a bit of cash in the bank to cover losses and help with cashflow. 500 people putting in 5 pound a month gives you 30 grand a year. We can't be a million miles away from that already. If TUST ownershi...

Nice to see our subs having an impact tonight. We look to have some interesting options from the bench. Which is nice........

Verma - best player on the pitch for me. Classy and composed. Boy has he become a good player.
Gerring - solid
Williams - wanted the ball and made some good movement to get it
Richards - level headed, breaking up play
Young - fitness is getting there and quality on the ball

I'm actually fairly happy with this choice. Very much in the Lee Mansell mould which in my view is what you want in a captain.

Cash injection needed
People are failing to see that on 1,800 crowds that means last year we had 1,400 paying on the day (roughly), which is income all through the year. We now will only have potentially 800 people paying on the gate through the year. That means a massive drop in income. To demonstrate where I am coming ...

My concerns are that whoever came up with the £200 season ticket deal has put us in the brown stuff, much as we were last season when we were paying off the previous incumbents........
800 season tickets x £100 = £80,000 lost revenue.

PSF Torquay v Plymouth matchday
Argyle fans really are a different breed. After going 1-0 up in the first half, they started chanting "we're going to win the league, we're going to win the league, and now you better believe us, we're going to win the league". Made oi larf. Oh, and to call their goal a header is stretchin...

New Owners
The reason we are attractive to GI is not because we are loss making. Offsetting losses within a group of companies is standard practice in business but ultimately there needs to be a reason for owning the loss making company (club). In our case, that reason will be building the stadium and potentia...

New Owners
The financial structure and motives of the new owners are all that matters. We need people on the inside to fight the club's corner or we could end up getting sold down the river. I hope Dave Phillips will do this but he needs to be objective in his dealings with the new owners. Once the deal is don...

Good signing in my opinion. I think he's done fine when called upon and a full pre season should improve his fitness.

Nicho has stated he only wants players who want to be here so it's that or money why Iffy Allen isn't in his plans. Does he have an agent touting him around perhaps? Racchi would have been the ideal anchor man for us and brings much needed balance to the side. It's a shame he won't be staying but if...
