Taunton Town v Torquay United Tues 16 April KO 19.45.

This does of course depend on which Torquay United side turns up tomorrow. The weak kneed, cowardly, gutless one with no will to win that went to Bath, Yeovil, that lost at home to Taunton etc. or the one with some spirit that beat Truro last week and a few odd games since Christmas. I hope for the ...

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

Looking on the bright side: - Dartford are down so it is just one drop spot left - Hemel are still in this, so it is 1 from 4 - Our goal difference is still vastly superior so we would likely stay up if it goes to GD - Importantly, it is still in our own hands (granted those hands are not filling m...

Truro v Torquay to be played at Meadow Park, Gloucester

Got the tickets, booked time off work, just about to get in the car, but I just cannot face it. For the first time I'm heading back inside. A combination of weather, long drive and most of all total lack of faith about us getting anything out of the game. So hope I'm proved wrong but feel totally d...

If we scrape a draw I’ll be happy.

Potential Buyers

jono_Gull209 wrote: 29 Mar 2024, 13:18 Sick of people moaning and looking for flaws in a group of people trying their damn hardest to keep this club alive. What exactly do you want? No one is riding over the hill with billions to chuck into a bottomless pit.
Well said, I agree completely.

To be honest, their equaliser was a tad fortunate.

Torquay United v St. Albans - 03rd February 2024.

As much as I can’t stand Johnson (he should have gone 12 months ago), the biggest problem is the owner. How do we as supporters prevent him from progressing with his ‘plans’? Plainmoor is more important to protect than TUAFC, I hope the council stand firm. I think all Torbay based fans should write...

GARY JOHNSON

I agree with all of the above, Johnson must go, but sadly I can’t see that he will. His pretence at “managing” this team is way beyond a joke.

Torquay Utd v Worthing 12/8/2023 15:00

I have left games disappointed before, I have left games feeling let down. I have been watching Torquay since 1964, I left early today (after goal 3) bitterly disappointed, extremely let down and bloody angry. We were pitiful today, clueless in every part of the game, shapeless and very inferior to ...

Torquay Utd v Worthing 12/8/2023 15:00

Looking forward to our first visit to Torquay. I have to say that there seems to be just a little bit of arrogance and disrespect aimed at Worthing. You may beat us on Saturday but don't take it for granted, we maybe new at this level but we are a good young side mixed with a little experience, led...

He clearly prefers the Sunny South!
Have you been to Hartlepool? I have, I’m with Dillon on this…..

Players Under Contract

If it wasn’t for the fact that Eastleigh are a cheating, diving bunch of scumbags I’d understand why he’d go. Horrible, horrible team.

Southend United

At least we didn’t have to suffer Lembit Opik or Mama Cheeky. One thing I do remember is how gracious the Southend fans were after the game.

happytorq wrote: 15 May 2023, 19:04 we won 2-1 to go up. And it was daylight robbery; we really weren't very good and Reuben Hazell got away with a nailed-on penalty. Even now I can't believe the referee didn't give it.
We deserved it because we had to endure watching the Cheeky Girls sing before the game!

Southend United

Sounds as though the Southend owner has the money but chooses not to pay the tax each time. You'd have to assume he gets some sort of benefit out of this rather than just paying it when its due - so it's a different situation to the publican who (presumably) didn't have the money to cover the VAT. ...
