Next season.
Was going to post this on the ex gull thread with the talk on Liam Rosenior, but thought more relevant here. One thing I hope we can do more of going forward is cultivate links with ex gulls managing/coaching clubs higher up the pyramid. We have seemingly utilised the link with Paul Hall at QPR well...

I was thinking back to what had happened to other clubs higher up the pyramid, but having scanned both sets of rules, the NL rules are significantly stricter than the EFL rules for transfer embargos!

I believe the rules of a transfer embargo still allow clubs to re-sign existing players under new contracts. However, as others have said, I cannot imagine there will be any forms of offers for existing players until the club is under new owners. Do we know if Downes has a contract beyond this season?

Completely agree, some of the comments towards Jarvis, Dawson, DOA are just unnecessary. We have no idea the extent to their injuries and ability to play. Going forward I think we do need more regular updates on player injuries to negate these sorts of comments. We also need to consider the mental s...

I agree, a mass clearout is required. I'm not sure I would keep anyone (certainly no more than one or two). Start again from scratch with hungry footballers; we've done that before. Reminds me of 2007, first season in the conference, we had 4(?) players under contract following the disaster that wa...

How many of the current young players will be given a chance in the first team next season? A few made appearance vs Frome in the Trophy, and Wellington has made the bench a handful of times, though more to make up number than as an actual option it would seem. Would like to see Thomas given another...

Reflections on the 23/24 season
At almost the half way point (22 games) we sat 2nd in the league, with 13 wins, 1 draw and 8 losses. We were 7 points behind Yeovil, so at that point we were broadly where the preseason expectations had us, though maybe further behind Yeovil than initially thought. I do think that position did mask ...

i came on here to ask the exact same thing...he played on the weekend and no mention of him being banned for tonight...how is that possible? it wasnt rescinded as far as i can see.... Bans for red cards normally take effect after 7 days in this league, so as he was sent off on Wednesday, I assume t...

If bids have been received why will it take up to a fortnight to decide which one to accept? Presumably the administrators will now make the decision. I would imagine there needs to be sufficient time to complete the relevant evaluation of the bids, due diligence on their claims and finances etc. N...

I do not understand the view that crowds would suddenly plummet to a 1000. Even at our lowest this season we have been comfortably above that, and the right setup behind the scenes with better engagement, I can see us maintaing decent crowds. I don't think the majority of fans would suddenly stop su...
