Very sorry to announce that Ian Twitchen passed away last night. Club legend and very top bloke. I'm sure many will have some great memories to share. RIP

When I first read the name I was a little confused aswell however agree with CPs thoughts and it is actually a more personal touch than just say 'The Bristow Stand'. Whilst I don't think intentional I also think that in future peoples curiosity behind the origins of 'the bench' may create a nice leg...

Hello All from an ex Grammar School bey exciled to the desert. Gutted my lifelong nickname of 'Pickels' was rejected as a username having been a supporter for 28years (I was here first :rules: ) Would be good to hear from any other gulls in the Gulf/UAE (other than Dave Jackson). :) Cheers Mattymoos...
