Torquay United v Aveley F C Saturday 24 Feb KO 3pm
The actual football was poor in reality and the penalty right on half time did for us. Relieved to still have a point in the end. But none of that mattered in the scheme of things. A much smaller than it looked crowd of 3600+ but a slightly subdued atmosphere mainly probably having the wind taken ou...

Torquay United v Aveley F C Saturday 24 Feb KO 3pm
I think it’s written in the stars that we will win today but it almost doesn’t matter.
Like most people, I sense a big crowd, probably the biggest crowd Aveley will have ever played in front of as there were 2700ish when they played at Yeovil, and there will be more than that at Plainmoor later.

Potential Buyers
His previous club aren't doing too badly as a result of his time there so if it means a period of stability whilst living within our means that has to be better than the risks associated with Osborne and a lot more preferable than administration. That's how I'm viewing it anyway. Maybe we’re thinki...

Indeed and that’s what worries me if the name being bandied about is who it ends up being.Southampton Gull wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 06:16 It's more likely to be someone we all know and who has been trying to get a stake in the club for several years. Time to be realistic as to our situation.

Osborne gone!
Clarke Osborne has today issued the following statement regarding TUAFC: "It is with sincere regret that I advise that circumstances beyond my control during the last five weeks have brought me to the position that I am unable to continue financial support for the Club and I have today filed on...

Bottom of the form table
The club is not taking action because it suits their purposes. Gary is the perfect fodder to distract the fans whilst Clarke & co evolve their grand plan in the background. Anger directed at the manager or the players really is wasted energy. This all sits with those at the top. Exactly this.

Bottom of the form table
Actually in 12th position. This feels very much like the Hargreaves season of 2014\15 (like many of us predicted and feared) but perhaps didn’t dream it could be this bad. Next season will likely be even worse will come to it that we struggle even to stay in the NLS. It’s clear where this is heading...

Anyone remember Mad Marcus?
I do remember this (the cannonball thing was a one-off) and I remember it being on MOTD as well. I have a feeling that the guy catching the cannonball was then in the MOTD credits for a while afterwards.

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone
:goodpost: I largely agree, although I will not back down from believing GJ has been a large part of the problem. I don’t disagree that Gary Johnson is part of the problem but he’s part of the problem because of the much bigger part of the problem. Clarke Osborne has to be some sort of sociopath to...

**23rd March v Hampton & Richmond** - Big Protest Day
Westlondongull I have now had the dubious pleasure of reading most of your posts since you graced this forum in 2011, what can be deduced by any one who has a modicum of common sense is you are simply an agitator of the worst kind, a destructive force, like so many paid up members of the protest ab...

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone
I didn’t read the OP as slagging off TUST, nor suggesting that they mount a bid to buy the club. I interpreted it as nothing more than an urging for TUST to condemn the current regime and coordinating a response. Good on the kids who are protesting but I think it’s time for TUST to hold a further me...

Torquay United v St. Albans - 03rd February 2024.
You cant blame anybody else but the manager. Terrible recruitment. Gaping holes in the squad due to him offering big contracts to injury prone players who are past their sell by date. Thought he would walk this league without doing any work and has been found out big time for the fraud he is. The o...

Worthing v Torquay United - Saturday 27th January 2024
Agree whether you spend your money going, dont go and just listen or watch the game on the stream when its on, the outcome is the same, you just end up angry and frustrated. We may have been "beaten by the better side" but there is no excuse for that whatsoever. We have players on full ti...

Worthing v Torquay United - Saturday 27th January 2024
So being a true supporter means paying hard earned money to be subjected to sub standard football from a manager who has completely given up and a club ownership with nefarious motives. That's not being a true supporter, that's being a mug. Supporters who care see the writing on the wall but as lon...

Worthing v Torquay United - Saturday 27th January 2024
Another dismal day for a Torquay follower. Listening to Martin Gritton comments during the game, when his thoughts are most instinctive, (his post match summary is more circumspect) he constantly referred to lack of organisation, tactical ineptitude, pointing out time and time again simple basic er...
