Torquay United v Dagenham and Redbridge - Matchday thread - 17/02/18

Well things didn't improve in the second half. Dagenham, bigger, stronger, more physical, well organised at the back, as said at HT, played some good football as well, beaten by a much better side on the day. We've really missed Romain today, his strength and hold up play would have been vital, as a...

Torquay United v Dagenham and Redbridge - Matchday thread - 17/02/18

I am at the game, can't blame reid, keeper got out quick made himself big good save, daggers on top they're keeping their shape organised at the back, making hard for us,maybe change in tactics, could be a risk though.

Attendances and the next generation of fans

Taking this one right back the original post. Over years we've had this discussion so many times, even placed 2nd in league 2, when the product was still good, we were talking about, how to get the gates from 2,800 up to 3,800. Taking the club ownership to one side, the lack of trust supporters have...

Maidenhead v Torquayunited 10/2/18

Great result, maintained all season, never give up, and whilst these last three results prove the point, including that draw at Macclesfield every one moaned about, there is indeed a mountain still to climb. That's why I agree with portugull's sentiment, 100 % united behind the manager and team now,...

Torquay United v Barrow 3/2/18

Hi forevertufc, you obviously haven't been out for a run with your dog this morning, I am surprised that the official site doesn't have an update as it really is soggy out there. The good news is that the sun is currently shining and my missus is wondering whether or not to put out the washing! Cor...

Torquay United v Barrow 3/2/18

Said last week, Ower's decision to shut up shop and go for the point at Macclesfield will look a good decision, if the team win v Barrow, job done. Hard to quantify today really, Apologies to our Barrow guests, but today Barrow looked a poor, sorry team, but you can only play against what's in front...

Torquay United v Barrow 3/2/18

Very surprised if this match is even in doubt, there was little or no rain during the week, the pitch drainage is pretty good now, it would depend on how much water is laying in the pitch, as the rain stopped some hours ago now, and it is dry and breezy.

Chester & Hartlepool

As for Dave's point about money from the top needing to be filtered down. I disagree with this and always have done but i'm not expecting most to see my point of view which to me is common sense. Why should Chelsea / Man Utd bail out Chester or Hartlepool? If Chester and Hartlepool cannot run thems...

Chester & Hartlepool

Yes, what did happen to 'football fans united' personally like wish any Hartlepool and Chester fans reading our forum, all the best in fight to save your clubs. As for TUFC we've sown the seeds of our own demise, and should our likely relegation be confirmed, is will be truly deserved. Maybe there s...

Brett is Back!!

Starting to fear for the mental health and well being of some. For the first time during this entire season we've got some one in the squad who can score goals, and yet we still find so many reasons to be cheerful :) No Williams isn't that prolific goal scorer, but then take a few moments to actuall...

Macclesfield Town v Torquay United 27/1/18

Can understand the frustration in going defensive after the goal, sometimes it pays to continue doing what you were doing that got you that goal in the first place, but, it's top v bottom, and we're away, if we'd continued to try and attack and conceded a late goal, what would we being saying. It's ...

I posted right from the very start the Nicho v Ower's debate would rumble on and on, it happens at every club where a manager is sacked a replaced by another, also don't see for the life of me, why posts slamming Ower's (deserved right now) are allowed with out criticism, yet posts (also deserved) s...

I, also have no doubt it is Paul Sturrock, I received a PM from him answering a post I made on the forum about some of his comments being simplistic, with out going into to much detail, he gave a fantastic insight to some of the Work he did at Argyle, and assured me, he (Luggy) has a real affection ...

GET Gary Owers, Martin Khul & Geoff Harrop OUT NOW

Well I'm all for boycott and have NOT been persuaded against it. By boycotting and depriving the club of money might mean administration, it might be the end of the current club, and it could be the beginning of a phoenix club. In my opinion its worth the risk, because if you lot cannot see that th...
