Torquay v Gateshead

Hope I am wrong but 1-1 draw, a game we need to win so probably wont Hope Ian Twitchin gets more applause if its that and not a minutes silence than the 87 great escape team, not sure I go along with all this celebrating avoiding relegation, bit embarrassing really, hope we dont do one for Nicholson...

Tranmere Rovers v Torquay United 9/12/17

Incredible and telling statistic from Portugull, take away the Maidenhead and Orient games and we have scored 4 goals in 12 games !! Think Keating could in time be a regular scorer with the right player with him but we havent got time. Dont just blame the strikers though, goals should come from all ...

Tranmere Rovers v Torquay United 9/12/17

Sounded like we played very well second half, we just cant put the ball in the net. Looking a bit adrift again now, need to win tuesday. You cant predict this leagues results, Orient putting 4 past Sutton and you would have had your house on Aldershot to beat Halifax who were in freefall. We need to...

Tranmere Rovers v Torquay United 9/12/17

I wouldn't say Myrie Williams has been 'playing' for us Tranmere fan, he has been on the pitch a few times mainly as a sub, but I think I would agree with your fans , lets say he has been very disappointing, he wont be here any longer after his loan is up. I see you have been clawing your way back u...

Axel Oskar Andresson Signs on Loan

Maybe Gowlings scan has revealed he may be out for some and Andresson is on cover After all we are playing three centre backs and we have ..... three centre backs , the formation is working well so if one got injured there would have been no-one else to step in. Merse did say recently that McGinty s...

FA Trophy First Round

Bit of a hike in the prices this time, usually £10 entry for this game so with my maths O level, thats a 50% increase Maybe it has to be agreed with Maidstone (expect Merse will tell us ) but considering what we have had to put up with until the last two games! think its a bit steep, not sure if I w...

Having just checked the 'Bible' you are correct of course Bluebird07, you must be Robert Bob? Gray I am sorry I dont remember you , it seems both your Torquay games were away from home Understudy to fellow Scot Andy Donnelly who was at Plainmoor a couple of weeks ago and I guess you were not offered...

One of the most committed and wholehearted players I ever saw play for us, always ran his socks off
every game, great tackler and came up with some important goals, I remember that winner at Exeter too,
25 yarder in the top corner

Torquay v Aldershot match day thread

So good to see another 90 minute performance, I dont think Aldershot were expecting quite such a hard game and were clearly rattled, though Waddock would have known about Owers and Kuhl and warned his players At half time I feared Aldershot would step it up and push us back but it didnt happen and w...

Torquay v Aldershot match day thread

Another excellent performance. Think we edged the game and had the better chances. The last two home displays have been the best we have seen for a long time. If we play like this next week we can definitely get something at Tranmere. We pressed and closed them down so well today, worked our socks o...

Torquay United v Leyton Orient thread

And we should be doing our dam best to beat a team at the top of the table , they are no Lincoln and certainly beatable , Gary Owers will have watched them last night and has seen them already against us Will be tough but we are well capable of winning this by the odd goal if we produce a 90 minute ...

FA Trophy First Round

Its true it does lead to a lot a fixture congestion from round 3 onwards with league games having to be postponed, think its 4? including 2 legged semi if you get that far but as long as you dont have a lot of league games called off in the New Year could be managed. Who knows what the weather holds...

Good though he was attacking wise on the right at the end of last season, his defending, like Higgins, left
a lot to be desired. Not an Owers player and we already have two right (wing) backs so not the right time
and place for him at present. Wil be a very good player though I am sure

Talking of strikers as per the thread, I see two of our ex strikers featured for Motherwell today in the
Scottish League Cup Final against Celtic. Ryan Bowman played and Alex Fisher was on the bench.
